Good grief...lipscomb will hammer 3 and 4 worse than last year. It’s a two team race with LA as a distant #3.

Fumble was on 4th and 2 and 44 was stopped. I would say the biggest difference was the 7 LA turnovers. The one after the lightening delay just before half was a huge momentum killer. That being said, PJP is a good team, on par with BA. 44 is special. My guess is that both teams will finish in the middle to the bottom end of AAA. It's like playing in the NFL. You can be good and are just playing a bunch of teams that are better.

LA starts 2 Freshmen and 7 sophomores on Varsity....also several others play meaningful minutes and didn't play in that JV game. Not taking anything away from FRyan as you guys were very good esp at QB and one particular receiver.

come on man....had to be there ran 10 plays in the first half on offense....scored on opening kickoff, and two punts in the first quarter also a pick 6. agreed to a running clock after the first quarter.....scored 3 points in the 2nd half.....played 2nd and 3rd stringers after the 1st quarter.....honestly couldn't do anything else. Did you complain last year when Mt. Juliet won 63-0 against them....or Beach 57-0 or Hillsboro 67-6. How about your first game last year....64-0, stratford 55-0, whites creek 63-0????

I think youngest daughter who is currently a high school junior committed to play volleyball at Lipscomb...not sure if other daughter(s) are transferring....hadn't heard that

different division....thank goodness. Should be able to compete with Goodpasture, FRA, BGA and maybe CPA at some point

There's a lot of humor in this thread, but one thing I'd like to clear up is that Lipscomb got exactly who they wanted for the baseball job.

Good grief...you never stop. Lipscomb's CURRENT enrollment puts them right where they should be. They had a heavy 2017 senior class that artificially inflated their enrollment numbers. Don't be surprised when classifications are reshuffled in a couple of years, Lipscomb will drop down to D2-A in all other sports.

I would say the Rogers boys who both played at UT a few years ago. Zach was the better of the two.

You're right....bad choice of words on my end. I think CPA is right where they need to be in Football. But keep in mind, there are only two classes in all other sports. You guys will absolutely dominate basketball, baseball, soccer, etc. with very few natural rivals, playing likes of DCA, Davidson Academy, Friendship, etc. That just doesn't seem very exciting from a fan standpoint. You guys could certainly hang with BA, MBA, Ensworth, etc. in my opinion.....meant no disrespect to CPA.....really envious of what you guys have going on.

We'll have to agree to disagree.....last 3 classes were stacked and under performed. Coaching staff is full of great men but average to below average football coaches. The region should hope LA goes 5-5 every year so coaching staff will be retained......another year like this one and a change will be made.

You're right.....Lipscomb was at 530....last year. They graduated an abnormally large class last year and are now at 460ish. Does that change the argument a little bit? When setting the classes for 2017 and beyond one would think they would look at 2017 enrollment, not the previous year. That would have had interesting ramifications for CPA who qualified to play down in ALL other sports by one student if memory serves......still doesn't make sense to me why they chose to play down.

Maplewood was a 3 seed last year and Lipscomb was the 2....but this will be a close game

Didn't "hold" anyone out but we are pretty beat up...7 starters out tonight..hope to have most back for next week. We did not punt tonight but only scored 12...go figure...should have put up at least 4 scores but had red zone issues. This game will be a battle for sure. Would not be at all surprised to lose it or make a deep run in the playoffs....have talent, not depth. Look forward to hosting Springfield and visitor bleachers still terrible...come on over to the other side!
