  1. Meigs might have a chance this year, they are undefeated and they have improved a lot just in their third year.
  2. You can watch it on McMinn County Schools on FB
  3. The weather I looked at said calm and 67 at kickoff.
  4. I think Howard will be the only freshman that will see playing time, they will need help in the post, and she’s very athletic and can give them some minutes, I also think Lawson will play a lot coming of the bench to give the guards a break, after that it’s a question of who steps up.
  5. Polk should have a good year, but the rest will probably be down. IMO there’s a big gap between Meigs/Center and the rest of the district.
  6. That’s shaping up to be a hard schedule, those teams are 19-5 combined.
  7. I agree she will definitely make Central a lot better.
  8. No apology necessary, just stating that Meigs lost 3 seniors, and for the last few years, those 8 players have pretty much played all the minutes, the bench could be a big problem this year, unless a couple players step up. I just hope they get to play and we get to come and watch.
  9. Meigs lost 3 seniors, Kenny, Crager and Bales. Kenny was out most of the year with a knee injury, Bales played as many minutes as some of the starters, and some times more, Crager played a big role as well. Meigs will have 5 senior that are really good but no one else as played hardly any minutes. The bench will be a huge ? this year.
  10. Gary Meadows is he’s name and he played at Meigs, and then went to UTC, he’s boys name is Will. Gary was fun to watch.
  11. I agree with you, Bledsoe had a pretty good team last year, and played Tyner close for a while, but IMO Bledsoes best play maker graduated. I think Tyner by 14.
  12. Here’s another one that was posted https://facebook.com/events/s/greenback-vs-meigs-county-live/1624735857691123/?ti=icl
  13. I think you’re talking about Luke Pendergrass. Him and his brother came.
  14. Just doing it this year I guess, just saw several post on FB saying it would be on there tonight.
  15. The Cawood kid went to Meigs Middle, he got a few carriers last year, when the games were in hand, good basketball player to, plays with a lot of energy.
  16. I really don’t know, the young man I watched at Bledsoe has moved on to play at the next level, so I don’t know what they really have.
  17. I thought Meigs looked pretty good last night, especially missing some key starters, but hoping everyone is back because this should be a good game.
  18. Not all middle schools play in the TMSAA, if that’s what you’re talking about, and you have to take into account that a lot of kids develop in high school, and you get transfers, and in my opinion classification has a lot to do with it, for example there’s a good chance Meigs will be back in 1A, and they have played 2A and 3A in middle school, and with a really good group of 8th graders coming in that plays a lot of travel ball, that puts them in the mix, and South Greene could be back in 1A as well. I guess what I’m trying to say is a lot can change from middle school to high school.
  19. I’m not from Upperman or Macon, just making a guess. And let’s be honest, that’s pretty much what everyone does at this point, when the competition is this close, it’s just a guess.
  20. Upperman by 10. I say Upperman and Macon in the championship
  21. Kinda thought it would go that way after seeing a lot of the team from the East, did you know that Meigs has played in substate 4 years in a row and two of those years, the team they lost to has went on to win the state, so that could be a good omen for Upperman.
