  1. Roc Batten from BGA accepting the job
  2. BGA is too inconsistent to win 3 games in a row. Good athletes, can beat anyone and lose to anyone. Beat Webb once, lost a close one by 6 and got blown out once. Not sure they have the motivation to keep the season going. Only 3 Srs and only 2 play. First year coach who I think will be good, but hasn’t gotten control of the players yet. Lots of bad habits to break from previous staff. I will be surprised if they advance.
  3. Wow, this is quite a cuop for Lipscomb. I bet you will see kids transferring. It’s all about getting the players. BGA has really turned on the recruiting. They have athletes coming in like crazy, and I’m sure Lipscomb will now. I don’t think you would make a comment like this without giving Dilfer some assurance that he will have the resources he needs to compete.
  4. By the way #17, 21 And 11 for CPA are great kids. Good friends with my BGA son.
  5. Health is good. One of the LBs rolled an ankle against Webb, but luckily we didn’t need him last Friday. After losing half our lineman to knee injuries the last two years, we have been real lucky this year.
  6. BGA has really turned their play up several notches since last CPA game. It was competitive and a 4 point game in the 4 th quarter. Two of the very best coaching staffs in the state regardless of class. The difference in these two has been CPAs physical play wears down BGA. BGA made a few changes to the offensive line so now nobody starts both ways. The defense has been dominating the last 5 games. If they can hold CPA in the low 20s they have a shot. BGA has very good skill players. Five of which have D1 offers. Both teams have tons of SRs that have started since they were Sophomores. CPA definitely the favorite but BGA has a darn good team. I suspect it will be close in the 4th quarter. Can BGAs lines hold up?

Did they really blame Webb’s loss on a 3rd string safety? BGA beat the s*** out of Webb. Webb literally couldn’t get a first down. The QB was pummeled just about every time he went back to pass. BGA punted 1 time all game and had well over 200 yards rushing and that isn’t even our strong suit. Boy I’m glad they didn’t have their 2nd string safety playing.

    CCS @ Webb

Spartan, what do you think about this Friday? Webb has had our number recently, BGA. BGA is healthy and has good experience. Most starters have started since they were Soph. Seems we always have trouble with Webb. Maybe this year is different.
  9. I doubt BGA will win handily. Webb has had our number recently. I think we are better than them this year, but I expect a real tough game. The best thing this year is BGA is fully healthy.
  10. I would be shocked if FRA won. My son is a 3 yr starter for BGA and FRA hasn’t scored a TD on them in 3 years. FRA has decent size but zero depth the QB isnt great. They are scrappy but ND shouldn’t have a problem. The Webb vs BGA game will be alot closer than ND FRA.
  11. That was supposed to say weather.
  12. BGA scrimmaged CA last year and it wasn’t real competitive. BGA handled them pretty easy. Now this doesn’t have anything to do with this year. The Warner might.
  13. No doubt it will be a good test for both. I would imagine Forrest game plan will be to control clock with power run game. If they are big up front as last year, they will have some success. BGA QB will be really good, but it will be his first start so you never know how that will turn out. Another key will be not to punt or kick off to #2. He had a kick off return for a TD in last years game that got called back on a penalty, but he can score anytime he touches it. I think BGA will score enough to win, but Forrest will definitely be in the game, no doubt. BGA is in no way overlooking them.
  14. QB and #6 and #8 were Srs last year. QB will be just as good in time and recievers this yr are more athletic than last yr. the guys to watch are #2, 6, 3, 15, 13. # 15 committed to Ga Tech and 225lb rb committed to ETSU, but he won’t play this week. All those guys have D1 and D1AA offers. Like I said the one weakness will be to real power running teams. Only lost last yr to CPA and Lausanne. Both wore BGA down with their power running. Of course they both have backs committed to Ohio St and Michigan. The entire DL returns from last year but depth is a real problem.
  15. BGA will be better this yr than last. They have 17 Sr more than half have started for 2 yrs. very athletic at skill positions and secondary with several D1 commits and prospects. Same vulnerability as last year as they are a little thin on interior lines. Both DEs are all-state potential #53 and #15 who is a Ga Tech commit. Anyone that plays them better have D1 type athletes in back 7 on defense.
  16. BGA Lbs aren't great probably weakest part of the D. The other issue might be youth as they only start 2 Sr on D. Fortunately none of our lineman start both ways so they hopefully won't get too worn out. If BGA gets down early and Lausanne can just pound the ball BGA will be in trouble.
  17. That synopsis is pretty accurate on BGA. They have really come into their own the last 4 weeks. Plus they have gotten healthy with a couple DL and 230lb running back, back. The skill positions are outstanding, as the receivers have made QB look really good. They have always been good on offense, but the difference is the D. The first team D has given up 4 TDs the last 7 games. The way they win is similar to the old Colts. Get a lead early and force the other team to pass to catch up. Pass rush with #53 and # 15 are really good and the secondary is very athletic. They aren't big upfront so they can give up runs up the middle. Also they are one of the best coached teams in the state. Almost no penalties or turnovers or mistakes. Lausanne definatly the favorite, but BGA is scrappy and won't back down, but probably will get worn down. Prediction Lausanne 28 BGA 24
  18. If this was 7 on 7 BGA would win. The problem is that you need lineman in real football. CPA game plan should be to just run up the middle for 8 yards a pop all game. Keep BGA playmakers off the field. BGA will score but won't be able to stop CPA. BGA does get one of their DE's back this week, but the other one had knee surgery yesterday.
  19. BGA playing without their entire starting DLine. Should get a couple of those guys back next week.
  20. BGA has very good skill players. A 3star QB on 247. Lots of talent and speed outside, it is up front that they may struggle. On defense they have 2 good DEs and speed in the secondary. LBs are a big question.
  21. BGA is very good at skill positions, but has questions up front. Will score a lot of points, but could give up a few also.
