I'm seeing that the offense in pretty good but you have to stop people too. This region is a hard nose ground it out region. I would love to see how they would stand against the teams in the region like that.

I think that game will be a toss up. Maybe McNairy looking to get revenge will put them on top. They really improved over the season last year so I think they will be scary this year. Not putting Milan down because I know they will be ready to play some good football. Tough tough region. Any team can go down on any given Friday night.

We are a few days away from dead period being over and I am ready for week 0 ! What are you guys predictions on the top four teams coming out of the region this year ? This region is always tough but I will give it a shot. 1. Covington 2. McNairy 3. Milan 4. South Gibson Just my prediction. Like I said this region is a toss up every year. The last two years I have seen the one seed win by one point that could have very easily put them down a few spots.

I am a Covington fan and was at the game. I think the officials missed some calls on BOTH teams.They are not perfect. Overall they called a great ball game yesterday.

Great season Chargers. We played toe to toe with one of the best teams in the state today. Congratulations to Alcoa. Covington gained much respect tonight.

Firebird I'm sure our coaching staff is not looking past this team. Heck they made it this far some kinda way and you don't make it to the state semi's being God awful. I know the coaching staff will be preaching to the kids all week the same thing. Teams like this are the ones that can break you because they do things you wouldn't think, like you said line up wrong sometimes. I do think though our special teams will be a big factor. From what I seen that is a huge weakness for them. Go Chargers!

Definitely think that will be the game plan. Make them pass the ball from what I have seen is something they are not comfortable doing . Keep #10 from getting outside on that jet motion.

I noticed that as well. I guess we have to pull the ponchos out. I still think the Chargers will stop the run. Hopefully we will be able to wear them down and break some long runs. They are pretty big up front on both sides of the ball so we will see how it goes. I still like are chances with 3 good RBs and with our QB being able to run too.

Number 7 for us ? I believe the coaching staff will preach gang tackling this week for sure to try to minimize the long runs. You think Stratford will bring a huge crowd out? You know how many people from Covington came to Nashville last year, I'm sure it be just as many if not more.

Covington has a great run defense. They will be up for the challenge of stopping Stratford's stud RB. I'm sure he will run into a brick wall a time or two on Friday night.

Covington LBs are not huge but I think they are big enough. They will come up and stick you. Looking for some big hits and bruising runs come Friday night. The key for the Charger D for the big back will be to stop him before he get his momentum going. Will Stratford's crowd travel well to Covington Friday night?

Covington has come out the gate slower against McNairy & SG. Both of those teams could have easily been the two seed in the region. I think the Cov coaching staff will have the kids fired up ready to play from the kickoff Friday night. I know Milan remember the lose last year in the playoffs and the one they took earlier in the season so I know they will be ready to play too. Looking forward to a good game. Win or GO Home.
