I don't get to follow Rhea Co. Football all the time but l thought Coach Pemberton was a believer in the Wing-T. Did he change his offensive philosophy lately. When did his son play for Rhea Co., and what offense did Coach Pemberton change to?

So will that be the caveat if Central doesn't return to their state championship form, that Coach Lane wasn't left much to play with?

Campbell County did not throw the ball every down. They actually had some good RBs there and could run the football. Pembertons offense will probably throw the ball less though.

l looked it up. Just did not want to seem like l was trying to put the quy on the hot seat before he even got started. Georgia football is very competitive. HVA is in a region with some teams that have been very competitive on the past. Good luck to the new coach. HVA was competitive with its region opponents a few years ago. Don't know if these new type coaches can get it done at HVA.

Anybody know his coaching record in Georgia besides the guy who told us he led Valdosta to the playoffs and got the name wrong of one of the schools he coached at?

Why do you need to keep players in Georgia if you are talking about a new HC at HVA. I didn't know you had been in Benton, but where is Benton anyway. I know if Benton Tennessee, but that is in Polk County. Good luck Big E.

l guess they are waiting until school is back in session so the media can be there and they can show the new HC introduced by the AD to the Central players and Jessie can take pictures and have a big article and the tv can be there. Timing is important on these things. If you don't make a big splash in the media it could be bad Karma.

Sorry, looking back through 25 pages l missed something. The Martin Westview HC resigned. Maybe he resigned to take the Central Job?

This is what l have figured out from looking back at names of candidates and also threw in just some names mentioned. Scott Cummings, ( l am sure some coaches have taken jobs and then left jobs with out even coaching a game), Stanton Stevens,( been counted out already?), Brad Taylor and Lee Warren,( did they really apply for the job), Kevin Lane, (l think this who gets the job, Coach Jones broke the ice on non- faculty HFCs, Coach Lane reaps the benefits), two blast from the past,( two retired coaches, your guess is as good as mine), as interesting hire?(l think this is code for Coach Lane, A local guy with college experience,( could mean multiple people), some guy from Sevier Co.( Just Murphy trying to but in when he doesn't really know, or does he?) A HC that just got fired from Martin Westview but maybe that was a trick to throw everyone off track, maybe not. I hope l have not left any one off. Maybe l missed something 25 pages ago.

With the AD run off will that delay the hiring of the new football HC until they hire another AD, or will the powers that be wait until right before Spring Practice? Is there an interim coach in place to run winter workouts?

CC is a step down from Halls. Is Hughes just trying to get more out of his booster club, or is he trying to go to an easier region. I don't know the other coaches.

Been reading that thread on the 3a/4a page. Supposedly there is another Simpson coming to Martin Westview. I would assume it is Ty Simpsons younger brother. Martin Westview must be hard on their HCs. This guy wins a state title a few years ago, then goes 7-5 and he is out.

So this guy might be the next HFC at Central?

Sometime you just have to brave the elements and unpopular aspects of the job ahead of you and make a decision that's best instead of delaying the inevitable.
