I get what you're saying. I believe Riverdale and Smyrna have been better than average for the most part. They are still two very respectable programs. Not Oakland or Maryville like, but definitely better than average. LaVergne and Siegel have been bad

Coach A is now retiring after 38 years of coaching. I think you should hold a retirement party for him..... In all seriousness, you know he was not THE reason for Riverdale going down hill. Might have been part of it, but you know the other variables, such as zoning, recruiting, etc.

True statement by BPM. Since Creasy has taken over, Oakland has never done worse than a semi-finals appearance. He runs the Wing T...... in 6A. Yes, they do throw some, especially this last year since they had a transfer QB come in from Indiana, but they still make their living RUNNING THE FOOTBALL. He gets those very talented players to buy in. They come to realize winning is FUN.

Your head coach seems to disagree if you look at his twitter. He said good luck to all the Mississippi teams defending the Veer. My bet is he knows more about football than you.

Just read the article and all I can say is WOW. Milan gave him a heck of an opportunity. They could have hired a head coach from another program, but they took a chance on a guy who was never been a head coach. And he repays them by calling them racist. I have never walked in his shoes, and can never feel what he feels, but I think there is a much better way to handle this. It's ridiculous for him to bring up other sports. We all know football is king in most Tennessees schools, and especially West Tennessee schools. Other sports coaches rarely get fired for wins and losses. Football is different, especially at a place like Milan. Milan has everything in place for him to be successful. I also think it's immature for him to say he's "already got ten texts from other schools", everyone knows he will get a job somewhere as an assistant.

Not that it matters, but I think you have Franklin and Franklin County mixed up. Franklin has 1,700 students

Probably not far fetched. I think he's already found out it's going to be very difficult to win consistently in that region. In the next alignment, Dyersburg is likely to be added to that. Fairview is really the only good team in this region, and they are very beatable. It does get harder in the playoffs when you have to play Giles, Pear, East Nashville, or Stratford from the next region over.

He does have a good freshman and 8th grade class, but it's going to be at least another year. You know more about Murfreesboro than I do, but I think it's going to be just as tough there with the zoning and Oakland's continuing dominance. Not to mention the belief Rockvale is only going to get better Agree about Hughs, but he's in a position where he's going to win 8 games and his district every year.

Coleman??? I could see him leaving Summit, but I don't think for Siegel. Matt Kriesky? I like him, but his stock has gone down the last couple years.

Not a chance it's Crawford. His name always comes up, but people don't realize he has the BEST job in Williamson County. His principal supports him more than any other Wilco school. Next year is his chance to win a state tittle.

Interesting 1st round matchup. I saw Summit against Franklin. The Wade brothers are obviously a huge factor, but so is #23 on both sides of the ball. Their linemen don't look huge, but are very physical for their size. Coleman does a really good job there. Hate to see that one of these teams is going to go home after one round.
