These two teams usually play some tough football games against each other.Pirates have the edge in overall talent.If they can play a pretty clean game they should win with by 14 or more.If they keep having a dozen or more penalties they may struggle to walk off the field with the "W".

Yes these two games will tell alot about how well the team has learned all the extra stuff the new coaching staff has thrown at them.Plenty more to learn than what they were used to plus it is pretty much an entirely different offense.I look for a few hiccups early on in the season until everyone gets comfortable with the new plays and approach.This team will be very exciting to watch when they get to clicking with this really great coaching staff.By seasons end I believe fans will be really Proud of how this team will have improved from week one to week 10.

Actually I should just retract my statement.I will admit when I am wrong unlike several on here that will just keep going back and forth.I admit I was a little trigger happy when I posted that one.I hadn't seen the Murphy game yet at that time plus with this Oakland game now scheduled...Well only a complete fool would call this schedule weak now.Looking forward to watching a couple of games against excellent competition.

I never leave early either.more times than not I go on the field after the game to talk with the players win or lose.Many of us are diehard fans and travel to every away game no matter who we are playing.Look forward to the Murphy away game this season.Always good to check out a different venue.

I believe Oakland had 83 players on their roster last season.SP had 71 I believe.SP will most likely suit up over 60 this season.

Before my freshman year there were no classifications.To win the State you played the best of the best.SP never won the state but played some really good teams and even held their own against many.I still believe this is a good thing not a bad one.It will be a mercy rule game after halftime but I believe we will play hard until the final gun.Will save some money on the cannon balls also.

The Pirates mercy rule teams.Is that suicide? I think it will be good for them to play with the big boys.You don't improve very much just riding roughshod over teams nearly every week.You learn from a game such as this.I tell you one thing the team is excited to have this game.
