  1. Powell is going to realize quick this Friday night that they are glad to be away from that Rebel region … that they once were apart of and never could compete with them. Hate to break it to the Panthers, but, they do not know what is coming when walking onto Shields Stadium Turf. Wish both teams luck and safety for all players and coaches. Rebels 38 - 14 Powell
  2. This means they stayed in HOUSE for the Hire.
  3. What about Cumberland County? That would be a toss up.
  4. Schedules are set for the 2020 season. Powell and Central do not want any part of Maryville or Alcoa. Central got there chance in the scrimmage at the beginning of season.... Yes it’s a scrimmage and it helped Central. No doubt, but if it’s was early week match up. It would have Been 40+ victory. Both these teams went 0 for back in the old regions early 2000s... I would go out on a limb and say both these programs will do Scrimmages and 7 on 7 with Maryville and Alcoa and that’s about it...... Alcoa and Maryville May steal a few if they play during season. Hats off to those programs and coaches. We will see what comes around with the new classes, regions, and districts.
  5. Did you not watch the stat championship games? Clinton has a community as well. Win games and have a good product on the field and I bet kids would stay at Clinton.
  6. McKamey could not get it done at Clinton. Why would he be a good fit in Knox County School system. That guy has a resume of winning at Grace because they played in 1A with public schools. Come on now. Let’s be real.
  7. It comes down to one coach having Red Hair and the other did not. Plan and simple. Maryville is the better program and is ran to higher expectations. I’m still shocked to see what I saw this evening, but Ravenwood HC can not do some of the things that they did tonight. Unacceptable. Maryville was the better team and proved it. However, it’s hard to watch something like that unfold when it’s the Highest Classification in the state. One coach has been there. The other made it a showmanship tonight. Guess what... Showman’s get exposed. So, proud of Coach Hunt and the Maryville staff. Great Program with tons of Class. Others should watch have that works.
  8. Well that’s good news for Carter! This threaded needed 4hrs ago to stop the madness that sounded like that erupted.
  9. Could not agree more about Sevier County having to many schools. However, Nothing shows that he is leaving other than not being happy. If he was lock in already for PF. I’m sure PF would want him or someone in by January. After all the coaching changes Carter has been through. I would assume they would be sweeting up their side on things.
  10. Always good to get a SUCCESSFUL Head Ball Coach like Meadows. I remember watching his teams at Alcoa and Jeff Co both programs grew from having him at helm. I wonder why he is leaving Carter after One Season? Congratulations to Pigeon Forge for able to get him back. PFtigerfan1 do you have any scoop on why he is leaving and what does this do to the county of Sevier?
  11. Definitely gonna be a good game. Both schools have talent on the field. Both schools have good coaches. Both recruit very well. Each school has money in the pedigree. Both schools come into the game with the same mindset that they are better than everyone else. Good 6A match up to finish up the season.
  12. Last night they “Ran” into a COACHING STAFF!!!
  13. Absolutely agree. Oakland won everything last season because of OLine and DLine. Last night they looked good. But, with those kinds of Athletes. How can you not score in the Semifinals game? It’s not like Maryville Defense is Loaded with Top 100 talent. On the side note, Great Job for Maryville Defense those guys got after Oakland. Heard one of the kids at Maryville being interviewed and he said the “guards” took me to the play. Seems like Those Maryville boys knew what was happening before Oakland could realize it. Oakland got out Coached last night. Simple.
  14. That talent comes from Knoxville/ Sevier County / Blount County. Outsiders do not understand the ceiling level those cities schools have. Also, people love moving to Blount County area because of the two city schools. Great coaching will over come a lot of things. Like I said before, tons of schools across the state could be represented better. Problem is the hire of HC. Alcoa Playing up does help, but they have the guys to compete at the highest level. Other schools do not have that luxury. Loudon great run. Wish it was a better game for sure.
  15. What is the thoughts and cause of the enrollment being down?
  16. Wish I was in coaching, just a person of interest in High school sports. Love for Tn football to take the next step across the state for better results. More parity would be nice.
  17. Who they gonna give the job too? Which I mean who do they move over to fill t spot.
  18. What does McCurry bring you at Siegel? Thought from the start everyone was wanting someone new to come in. Sounds like a typical move. Let’s give the guy who has HC experience another shot to fail. The guy at Centennial is a solid coach. But, let’s look back at it. 2019- (3-7) 2018- (3-7) 2017- (4-7) Yes, he is behind the other Williamson County Schools but, would he not be in the same boat at Siegel.... hehe
  19. What kind of backing is there? Everything points to the fact that Clinton had some average coaches. Is it not the responsibility of the HC to make sure all parties can agree. It is 2019 and everyone has an opinion to any situation. I do agree with it starts at Central office then down to Administration then the HC. But, these names that you all speak of have that to fall back on. It’s the parents/administration fault. Win football games and run a solid program and give people something to be excited about. No dog in the fight but, it sounds like we have great coaching but, everyone else ran them out of town?
  20. Questions is does Admin want to be successful? It looks like a strong fan base wants someone in there that can change it around quickly. That can be good and bad. Also, why would Ellison be the Front-Runner? Was he not the interim at one point? Also, Head Coach at Powell for a few years? It seems he was unsuccessful at Powell
  21. Lets Quick over Thinking it, The GHSA has seven classifications based on school enrollment. For this reclassification, the GHSA adopted a 2.0 multiplier that applies to out-of-zone students and is designed to promote schools believed to have competitive advantages into higher classes. The new rules don't apply to everybody. Schools with 550 or fewer students automatically are classified in Class A and are not affected by the multiplier. Now, Tennessee does not need 7 classes. However, this is how to make classes competitive.
