CC will throw the ball every play. When they played Powell they threw 5 interceptions. So if Oak Ridge defense can step up, and there run game is clicking..... then they should win this game.

Probably going to be a lot like last year game. Karns will pack it in early and rest up for the playoffs. Clinton by as many as they want....

Play calling has a lot to do with it. On Powell's 1st TD drive they were lights out and played fast really fast. Why cant they do that ALL THE TIME. It was like....where did that come from? Was good to see. Then they go back to what they have been doing all year....not much. Potts is still not 100% healthy, still passed for 315 and 2 TD's.

They should of hired Josh Jones, and done what ever it took to get him, regardless of how long current coach has been there. Josh has ties all over the state because of future stars. He would of had Catholic back on track in no time and competing for Championships.

Why would they put 9 in one region (region 2) and 6 or less in the others. No way that can work?

AC will play the starters FULL go no matter score. They are WAY to prideful. There HC unlike most in area (including Powell's) wants to step on EVERYONES throat, and wants to win by as many as he can! So I fully expect AC to play this game like all the rest....till the final buzzer.

How about that "terrible" Powell defense as stated earlier in this thread. Powell won 30-7 (OR starters scored against Powell JV at end of game) Powell is getting healthy at the right time. Need to clean up a lot of things, but they are heading back to normal QUICKLY.

West always starts out strong. They have to have one of the weakest schedules in 5a (aside from Alcoa and Maryville) . West switching regions a couple years ago I think has hurt them more than it helps. It has been cupcake city in there region for them. West is a good team, but how good are they really? Powell has a lot tougher schedule than West from top to bottom. Powell will be well tested come playoffs. They just need to keep everyone healthy and get everyone as close to 100% for the playoffs. Look back to last year and everybody was talking the same way about west until they played Powell in the Semis. We know how that ended. So again I think West is a good team don't get me wrong. Just look at who they played so far and who they are going to play (aside from Alcoa and Maryville) JMO West next 5 games: Alcoa Power house Heritage Power house Cocke County Maryville Central (not the typical Central)

I have not seen such a bad officiated game in all my time. BOTH teams were getting TERRIBLE calls against them. At one point it was every single play.....Embarrassing. They were even sending kids out of the game because there shirts were to long.....They were LITTERALLY looking for every little thing. As the saying goes "you can throw a flag on almost any play".....Well that crew did! You had refs throwing flags from 30 yards away, when the other refs were right on the play....CRAZY! On a side note Clinton is much better than what I expected. Good game when the refs let them play.

Injuries have plagued Powell since game 1. QB1 has not played in the first 2 games (went out in first quarter of AC game second drive). Played Karns (week 3) without there 3 top WR. When Powell gets healthy they will be just fine. Run game for Powell has looked very strong. So when they get all there players back they will be a tough out. Better to be banged up early than late, IMO.

Powell looked good despite not having QB1. Defense played a lot better than the week before, kept them in the game. Eventually they got gassed cause of so many 3 and outs by offense. It was 13-0 at halftime without QB1. Powell runs away from this game if he played. Maryville is the not the same Maryville. This could be the first year in like 10000 years that they don't win a region title? JMO

AC had a few key players not playing. Not sure why though?

The last 2 years when Powell played AC they have been great games. Both came down to the wire really. Looking forward to another great game! Mavs should of won those last 2 gams IMO, but they just ran out of steam. So we will see if there conditioning is better this time around.
