  1. The upper bracket is loaded. Hard to argue with that , but it’s survival of the fittest at this point. Last team standing wins.
  2. You’re only punishing their possible opponents. It’s obvious the coaches son and players had “something “ to do with the assault. That should be grounds enough to punish the school and team. Sorry for those not associated (and on the team) but the others caused this action. If it’s allowed for “fans” and possibly players to attack opposing teams/coaches, then no one will ever feel safe at at TSSAA event. I don’t care what might’ve been said or not, there was a better way to show their displeasure. Violence begets violence.
  3. Forfeit. Mase played an illegal player and got booted.
  4. North Greene better put their big boy pants on. Richland is no slouch. Lol. They beat a pretty good Loretto team tonight pretty handily. It’s final 8. All teams left are pretty good. Lol. Upper bracket is LOADED! Good luck to everybody
  5. Hard to gauge importance of a single player. When you take her defense and offense, point swings drastically. No way to know exactly how much it affects without everybody healthy and a game to actually test.
  6. Missing a proven point guard is a huge loss this late in the year. If she can come back they’ll be alright (stone).
  7. York pulled off the stunner of the night! Congrats lady dragons
  8. Clarkrange is as good as their posts staying out of foul trouble. Monday twins are as advertised (if not better). If the posts stay out of foul trouble they can beat anybody (including stone, a triple a team expected to make state) by 20+. Rogers is a legend and has the talent (if you don’t make him have to dig too deep in his bench). Btw Stone beat them by double digits when the buffaloes got in foul trouble (so you never know).
  9. Made no excuses. Whitwell beat Pickett in the regular season and the playoffs. You need to learn to read. Obviously you were the better team this year. I was only stating what appeared to be Pickett’s reason for not being the top tiered team most thought they were. No shade on anybody. some years you come together and some you don’t. Not knocking any team. PICKETT will be back though. Too good of a feeder program not to be.
  10. Pickett was missing a true point guard. None of the girls seemed to have a true position. Coach is good but just have that one missing ingredient. Great group of seniors just missing that one ingredient. Great group of freshman coming though and the freshman class this year was good. Brighter days on the horizon. Clarkrange can beat most any team any night.
  11. Buck at stone memorial has to be considered as a top coach. He coached teams to the boys state and he should have 2 girls teams making state. He’s had a Mr basketball finalist and a ms basketball finalist. He’s won a boys state at Pickett as a head coach and a championship as an assistant at white (for boys). Last years stone team was definitely a contender (final 4 before everything got shut down) and this years team is definitely formidable. He’s won at every level of hs play.
  12. Don’t know anything about them other than looking at their scores but they do look impressive
  13. They did lose no excuses. They did have their leading scorer 24+ points per game sitting most of the game due to illness. Tournament time will tell how good they are. Polls mean nothing. I would be shocked (barring injury/illness) if they don’t make Murfreesboro.
  14. I don’t have any problem with saying any of the top 5-6 in the poll is the best team. Everybody has a very good player that most A teams can’t guard. Pickett belongs in the conversation IMO. They get no love due to location/coverage and that’s fine. I do believe they’re the most complete A team in middle TN. They lost tonight to the #2 with their leading score as a decoy due to illness (he had 5pts and probably didn’t shot 5 shots). They have one of, if not THE top defender in the upper Cumberland (and he scores too, had 27 against clay tonight). If clay is the #2 then they (Pickett) belong in the discussion. Loretto is the power in southern middle (if the Tipps kid can stay healthy), with north green in east. I’ve only seen scores for Madison but they do seem to be legit. It’ll all sort its self out, but I do believe all teams mentioned have a legit claim to who’s the best. Just my $.02. We’ll see what happens in the next few weeks. It’ll all sort itself out.
  15. No. Just grandparents and administrators/teachers for now. Local governments have the authority to limit past that.
  16. I’m sorry but who cares? We’re getting to play. It’ll all get settled in the end. Who’s number whatever now doesn’t mean anything come tourney time. Hopefully we’ll have tourneys. That’s all that matters.
  17. We’ll have a better idea Friday in class A.
  18. Just let the kids play. If it has to be watched online then so be it. These kids have literally put a life time of practice into playing this game at a high level. Let them play. We’ll watch however we have too. They deserve better than they’re getting at this point.
  19. If it’s a no contest the why do schools have records of 0-0-1?
  20. Biden is in. Hollywood and all of the major cities won. This “is” political to me, but at the same time most populated areas think one way the the rural areas think differently. I’m mostly convinced the it’ll be almost impossible for most teams to get in a full season. I only wish/hope that these kids, who have put in SO much time would get the reward of playing and finding out how they’ve improved or possibly worked their way into a reduction of college payments. These kids deserve better than what we have been given so far as adults. Just my .020$
  21. Cumberland county,Tn. The oldest (junior) was stone memorial’s point guard last season, and the youngest is a freshman.
  22. With the new president being elected I believe we need a proactive approach to the upcoming season. He has already stated the he has a plan he wants to implement for the virus upon being sworn in (which I’m afraid means everybody home bound from the way he’s campaigned). If you’re a fan of watching these kids compete, I believe a proactive plan needs to be in place. We all know Tssaa is controlled by lawyers and wants nothing more than to be unaccountable due to someone getting sick. The metropolitans want to be shed of this responsibility too. What needs to be done? I ask this because so many kids had futures/memories taken from them last year, and I don’t want it to happen to this years crop too. The only way is for plan/plans to be in place. You know tssaa isn’t doing this (like they should be). Suggestions are great, solutions are better. I know you discussed this last year at length. Any fixes?
  23. The freshman is 6’2”-6’3. The junior is 6’0-6’1”. The junior was freshman of the year at stone memorial. The junior had to play the point at SMHS. His natural position is the 3. Should be a good fit for the program and benefit both (program and kids).
  24. Cchs will be better but coach Miller is gone and she’s no longer getting all the girls through Crossville (via coaching AAU kids in the summer). It’ll be interesting to see how the talent disperses with Buck (possibly) leaving after this year and McWilliams (first time gig) after 2020-2021 seasons.
