Unfortunately things will never change in Clarksville. There are tons of athletes in the area who just need good coaching and an administration that supports them the way other school districts do.

Again, he MUST be a great guy and coach for them to have overlooked state title winning and Perennial playoff coaches. Very Interesting hire considering the competition…that’s all I’m saying. Powerhouse programs do not generally make such a bold move, preferring instead to go with proven winners.

Wow…heard some of the names that interviewed and some that did not. This Carr guy must have some dirt on the committee. I’m sure he is a great guy and coach but lord have mercy his resume is nowhere near some Of these guys. Interesting hire considering the high level guys that interviewed/expressed interest. Cheatham county needs to just give up football altogether...the district does not support athletics. This is widely known and for some reason it goes on. Either support the kids or just get rid of it. Most districts see the importance of a well funded and supported athletics program, but sadly Cheatham does not...sad

This is a lesson in hiring "double-dippers". Sometimes it works out but most times the guy is just riding it out and trying not to overexert himself. Usually they go soft and try not to rock the boat, which can be a recipe for disaster.
