  1. If you got another video, post it then. It's not hard to see which person threw the punch...enlighten us.
  2. What I took from the game is that GC figured out WV in that game and forced them to play GC's game, where WV typically forces the opponent to play WV's game. If both make it to the Region finals, it will be a battle. GC has Huntingdon figured out and WV struggled with Huntingdon. GC may be the power player coming from the North-West......going to be interesting.
  3. GC just beat WV & anyone who was there, witnessed it. Great game plan by Wilkins and their stud could not miss. If GC plays that way from here on in, WV will have trouble with them again if they meet up. GC is a lot better than they were 2 months ago. Bring on the regional tourney....it's now getting real.
  4. No one is knocking Chloe, Tess, or Edie or those years that they had or even your school..but you're absolutely delusional and evidently, your other family member or cousin on CoacthT land is too and are the only ones to make that kind of statement. You accomplished 1 state championship in 4 years with that team while being able to dodge Loretto. Everyone on this thread recognizes how good those girls were in high school and appreciates that run, but being a big fish in a little pond is different than being in a big pond. Someone around you needs to tell you how idiotic your thinking is. No offense...and I know the truth hurts and we (CoachT'ers) hope you understand reality someday for your sake. Your total disrespect of the other power programs in this area is what is really disrespectful.
  5. GC defended the 3 point line well and GC shot the ball very well. Also, GC had less than 10 turnovers for the game and they handled the ball very well. No excuses from WV, just got outplayed.
  6. I said before the game...the loser of this one has the easier path. GC was lighting it up and WV needed that pressure off of them. It's been 3 or 4 years since they lost a home game and a loss isn't always a bad thing...as long as it isn't at the wrong time. GC played well. My hats off to them.
  7. Congrats to Gibson County for winning the District Championship. Awesome game and great shooting. I have a feeling these teams will see each other again.....soon. WV needed that loss and it's only fitting that GC gave it to us tonight. Starting to feel like the old days again....Good job Lady Pioneers.
  8. Tennessee doesn't have any top 50 or top 100 commits. She had I believe 3, and then they opted for LSU and South Carolina. That tells me all that I need to know about her ability in this program.
  9. Pat spoiled us over all those years. Hopefully, Harper can get it figured out on the hill. It's been a while since we've been a legitimate powerhouse, but some of her recruiting moves have me suspect as well. I hope the Lady Vols can return to prominence soon.
  10. I know both coaches are friends, pull for each other when not playing each other, and they'll get it figured out. I hope SS wins it all this year too.
  11. Great article also about Chloe's defense and play in IndyStar, InsidetheHall, and FanNation. I still can't believe the Lady Vols did not even give her an offer. Now, we're all Lady Hoosier fans from NW Tennessee.
  12. Correct me if I'm incorrect, but isn't WV 6 & 2 against SS when they've played each other in recent history in official games. I'd like to see a yearly matchup between the two as well, but "most" years the WV boys can't match up against the SS boys. Maybe with the new coach of the boys being there at WV, that game will start getting scheduled. I believe where SS and WV (girls) had their split from the schedule was when after a fight occurred a few summers ago at UT-Martin in the summer games. Either way, good luck to SS the rest of the way in, and hopefully this is y'all's year.
  13. SS by 18 plus. SS is tournament battle-tested, and Coach B will have his team focused. I don't think SG can handle the 4 quarters of pressure that SS will bring the entire game. To be in the game with SS, it's going to take a team with a dominant point guard, two other very good supporting guards who can handle the ball and shoot it very well, and a team that will have to be nearly even on the boards with rebounding numbers.
  14. Ensworth is a loaded team. Someone from Ensworth has won it 3 years in a row, with Cambridge already being a past winner. Ensworth is a loaded team and will still be loaded after she graduates next year. For the career body of work, Mains has averaged over 20ppg since she was in 8th grade and is a 5'11" combo player, 4.0 student, with multiple offers as well. I expect Cambridge to win it this year again, but take her off the team and Ensworth is still as good w/l wise. Take Mains off Knox Catholic and they're sub 500. I'm not lobbying for anyone, but that's my position.
  15. I am voting for the following: Div II-A Jailyn Banks, MTCS Div II-AA Sydney Main, Knox Catholic 1A- Blair Baugus, Wayne County 2A - Jada Harrison, Westview 3A- Ti'Mia Lawson, Jackson South Side 4A- Avery Treadwell, Bearden Since this is a girl's thread on here, I won't post the boy's, but to "me"...I have confidence in all my choices.
  16. lol. Keep drinking that cool-aid, it's evidently in the water up there in G'town.
  17. You're right, not to mention 3 of their starters didn't play that game because of sickness...but that's not an excuse. UC beat them outright. That Greenfield team was the greatest team ever assembled. GC, SS, and WV are just plain jealous. Y'all need to put "state champions" on the Gold Ball for the Covid year too, so you can say you got two of them. lol
  18. We can back and forth as long as you want. I'm proud of the Greenfield girls for their accomplishments. They were fun to watch and Chloe is the greatest player to come out of that school in its' history of girls basketball. I'm just a realist about the matchups of the first 7-8 of the team aspect, and understand seeing teams from objective viewpoints since my kids have been out of school for over 20 years... I can do that, because I'm a fan of the game not just a certain team or players. Just so you not uninformed that WV "superstar", as you refer, was also sought by Tennessee as well & offered. I believe it's in the Jackson Sun back in 2021 when she was a Sophomore (you're smart enough to Google it), and she chose not to go there. When you want the reasons why they didn't play, I'll tell you like your cousin up there...ask your former coach.
  19. You're right. I guess if I lived in Greenfield, I'd have the same passion as you do. The rest of us out here that watch more than 25-30 teams a year play know nothing. No shade thrown towards anyone and I didn't call anyone's name, but you did. Yep, you shouldn't do that. We're all delusional from WV, GC, and SS. lol
  20. Good post. I remember watching all 3 play and on any given night, it was a toss-up.
  21. I remember that stretch and that was an absolute travesty, especially for the years that she put together back to back. Heather B was/is a class act on and off the court, both at GC and UT Martin.
  22. Hart & Kee (toss up) and Davis should all be frontrunners if they continue what they've been doing.
  23. Laughable. GC beat a WV team minus Callins by 9 and another big girl on a play around weekend. You actually have 2 D1 players and another on a D1 team, who should be D2 or NAIA. Ask your former coach....lol
  24. Go ask your former Coach and come back and give us the honest answer. That same WV team that beat Jackson SS by 28-30 is the same SS team that beat GF by 15 when they played common opponents. Everyone would've enjoyed those matchups, and everyone appreciated both teams and are proud of them...but you're delusional if you sincerely believe what you typed above. Stick to being a fan, because you don't understand what happens when you get past the 2 -3 best players on the team with the subs/bench. BTW, it's the same reason why WV won't play GF now either. It'd be the same result, but much worse.
