I heard the same thing also. Kinda funny being a Christian school and these kids were kicked off the team and now they are back on the team for the playoffs. That shows some real discipline to the rest of the team that follow the rules.

Union City would love to play Mayfield, but they do not want to come away with injuries when you have to play against 19 and 20 year old kids, everyone knows that Mayfield picks out a few kids when they are in Junior High and holds them back a year for every class.

Why would you want to take away a home advantage to play at UTM. Just because Westview is not playing any more does not mean you move this game. Union City has earned a home field advantage and it should stay here..

And everyone is tired of the whining about UC being in 1A, if you have to complain then go to Obion County Central and ask the parents of the kids that live in UC why they send them to OC. These are the ones that help create the MONSTER that you have to contend with every season, not UC, they are there because of the TSSAA and the parents of the kids that do not choose to attend UC.......

I will give you credit to the kids for playing hard since the first meeting with UC, but I will not give credit to your Coach. If I am not mistaken, during the first meeting he asked the refs if they could have a running clock, yes I said running clock midway through the 2nd Quarter. And before you reply how do I know, it's because I heard it with my own ears. Your Coach gave up on these kids early and now he is benefiting from the heart and will from these kids.

Before anyone says anything, this is just a dig at Purple, we are good friends. I'm was thrilled that the collapse came against the METS thursday and hopefully the end of the Cards season. It felt so good since the Mets are out and now they may have done in the Cards..lol

I hope Jackson is still around after this year (heard rumor this week that this may be his last) because he will loose to UC next year. When OC loses this senior class, it will be down just like all other schools are when they lose key players. By the looks of OC 2nd team that played it does not look very positive..

I don't think that putting your starters back in the game with 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter is good sportsmanship by Jackson. Personally, for me I hope that the kids on the team have a great year, but for the coaches, and some of the obnoxious fans, I hope for the opposite. If the Phipps kid stays healthy it could be a good year, if he gets hurt then it could be a long one.

I do believe that South Fulton won by 10 in 5.

Looks like there is recruiting going on in every sports program at OC.

Where do you get wildman from? He gets into the game alot more than other coaches do or would want to. He expects hard work and dedication from his kids, he knows more about the game than other people think they do. The only reason people dislike Coach Sisco and the UC program is because of the success they have had over the years and if you don't get them this year then it will be a long time before you get another chance. The Freshman class had a very good year last year in Junior High and the Junior High team is undefeated this year. A lot of talent for the future.

Hey Purple, looks like the personal trainer (Tony Brown) is not working with the boys as much as he is with the girls. Maybe they not paying him as much for their training...lol

Congrats to SM, good game and good sportsmanship, unlike the team from Jackson. If anyone wants to talk about the multiplier then maybe there does not need to be a multiplier and all private schools should play 5A or stay in the Div. II class. As for Mckenzie, you should have taken care of business and you would have been there. And for TCA, let's just see how next year goes without Washington, could be a long year unless you recruit another athlete.

That is correct, only about 300 or so kids in Union City High School. Most parents in Union City send their kids to Obion Central. Don't know why, you would have to ask them...

We can look at it this way also, OC's 4 wins came against teams that are a combined 7-29....Now that's respectful...lol But OC did beat UC this year so you can call that a successful season no matter what else happens..lol!

And Chris Johnson got his butt spanked by Deshaun Jackson I believe on the Shaq vs. show, and pretty bad. So Johnson is not the fastest player in the NFL.

I think you need to go ahead and change your name purple to red and blue standard. Alot of us on the home side were thinking this looked like the game at Wayne Co. with all of the sportmanship. That is exactly how they played last year and the year before when the Speed kid was playing when he got hit late on every play. Let's just say that at the end of the day it was just a game for $$$$$, and we will see what team is playing in the postseason, and P&G will be getting ready for Rebel basketball...

Congrats go out to Coach Curt Lee and his Lady Red Devils on a great performance in the Boro. Maybe one of these days the TSSAA will finally split Public and Private schools. And also congrats to Coach Lee for showing that coaching the right way and playing the players that can perform and not the ones where parents kiss butt or the ones where you are best friends with play the most just to make them happy, let's just say that a coach needs to be a coach and not someone that hangs out with the players because they are close to the same age. Maybe one day in the future certain schools and coaches to the west will finally figure that out. Some people may not like the way he runs his program, but bottom line is where did South Fulton finish this year and how many W's did they get. I guess if our program is satisfied with just making it to the Regionals then that will be as far as it will go.

Maybe UC will win and that comment won't come back to bite us... Thing about that though, Sisco does not lose a game on purpose..

I guess that strategy of throwing the last game did not work out! Who would have thought!

Sure is surprising that Chassidy was walking around without a limp Thursday at school. If the coaches at OC actually threw this game then the whole coaching staff should resign or be fired for teaching their kids that it's ok not to perform to your fullest potential and loose a game on purpose, especially since you are the 2nd ranked team in the state. And if this happened, then let's hope that Lexington can pull off the upset. The OC coaching staff should feel proud of themselves for this.
