  1. does the past matter, normally no it does not but when Alcoa is the hurdle every year for everybody the past does play into it. if you want to compare teams look no further than Boyd. Loudon and CAK both lost close games to Boyd and alcoa was 5 tds better than loudon in their games and 3 tds better than CAK in their two games. Comparison's are worthless though. what matters is who shows up Friday night. As far as Alcoa's confidence or believing they can win. Why wouldnt they? Until you beat them, they can talk all they want....they have backed it up thus far....
  2. alcoa by 4 td's ... I'll go with 36-6
  3. Maybe the offense not executing is because of the strength of alcoa's defense and not play calling. I honestly dont know what loudon could have done different...alcoa is that strong and that fast. No coach or player quit, even after it was 21-0 in the first personally thought the play calling and coaching was excellent. they utilized their talent and put the best players on the field Good job to the big red this year and looking forward to next year. Also, good luck to the tornados the rest of the way
  4. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> good one
  5. No one needs to know where they are until around 930pm friday night
  6. Looking forward to it as well. as for my prediction Loudon wins 3-2 there is a "tyson" recall Alcoa fumbles and we recover it. We keep their game ball so they dont have one the rest of the evening GVK and FBD secretly borrowed the extra game balls last week and still have them chuck norris is on our offense and ditka is on defense On a serious note....I think this one is a better game than last time. Loudon has got to be on their best game and believe they can do it. any team can win on any given night God bless both teams and the fans!
  7. Not all of loudon /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  8. I dont believe loudon would have gave up 13-0 or 20-0 or 40-0. I'll take Loudon Friday 27-13. Go Big Red
  9. Alcoa by 4tds...God bless both teams and hopefully we'll see the winner next week
  10. Looks like the rain is moving in for tonight. Go big Red
  11. Until they are beat, they can talk all they want. However, their team and their fans are classy when you play them. Most of the talking is on the scoreboard. Personally if my team is not going to win I would prefer at least on of our region teams to win it. Does it stink cause we're not alcoa? no, just gives us something to work toward every year.
  12. I thought alcoa played with a ton of class last night. they could have scored as many as they wanted last night and chose to call of the dogs in the second half (it was 34-0 at the half). Loudon coaches and players did all they could and played with a lot of heart and class as well. It just comes down to Alcoa is a more talented team and to beat a team like that you have to be almost perfect and them be off their game. God bless both teams and to Loudon lets put this one behind and get ready for the second season
  13. I will revise my post. It was not my intention to attack anyone or make it into anything personal. IF a coach at any game gets into any negative conversation with fans it can turn ugly looks bad on the community I apologize for my poorly worded post. and GO BIG RED
  14. I'm sure Alcoa would welcome a game with Woodbury anytime. They have proven they will travel anywhere anytime. Talking trash to them without playing them is kind of silly. and you "beat Maryville in preseason"?????? last time I checked they are still unbeaten when it matters. The Detroit Lions were undefeated in the preseason this year to...check their current record for games that count. As for Alcoa vs CAK, i'll go with alcoa winning big. God bless both teams and fans.
  15. Loudon should take this week and next week. However, they CANNOT afford to look past Oliver Springs and Wartburg. I think they learned a lesson vs Greenback (no disrespect to greenback, they whipped us). God bless all the teams and fans friday night.
  16. Wow, lot of trash talking and comparing teams based on who they've beat, how they've lost, even what they looked like in the spring. What matters is who all shows up at 730 tonight. Sweetwater probably is a more talented team but Loudon is embarrassed (no offence to greenback) and should be ready...Its a huge region game and they were a totally different team when they played CAK and LC versus what the looked like against Central. Hopefully loudon puts it all out and wins a close one... God bless both teams and the fans and we'll see you tonight!
  17. Loudon's "problems" are its youth. With a young team you get a) youthful mistakes and /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> the opportunity to vastly grow and improve from game 1 to game 10 (and beyond). Hopefully the growth outweighs the mistakes and the Redskins continue to improve throughout the year. I dont think Harig will let them look past Greenback so I'll pick Loudon as a winner but closer than last years game. God bless all the teams and fans.
  18. Thanks for the updates on this game. In the game for 2nd (or maybe 3rd) Loudon beat CAK 23-7. God bless all the teams and fans.
  19. Good luck to both teams on Friday Loudon looks to be down this year and LC improved. However, it is Loudon vs LC so you can never tell. LC probably has the advantage but as anyone associated with this rivalry knows, you can't admit that to the other team. So Go Big Red and to all the fans its still just a game! God Bless everyone!
  20. From Loudon fan who has seen both teams (CAK twice). Alcoa wins this and wins the state again CAK is very good passing team and was very good against Loudon on defense the second time around. We had key injuries but 23-0 is 23-0 no matter who is hurt and being hurt is not an excuse or reason for us getting beat. Alcoa has too many athletes and in high school, talent wins in almost all games. Like I said, CAK is good but Alcoa is a great team and not one dimensional and I just dont see CAK being able to match up for 4 qtrs Good luck to both teams Alcoa 48 CAK 20
  21. Campbell hurt his ankle against Rockwood then twisted the other ankle two weeks later in practice. He has been fighting nagging injuries all year so I dont know if he will be ready tonight or not. Miley (#22) is out to with a knee injury
  22. well as much as I'd like to talk this game up and see loudon pull off the miracle, Alcoa is too strong with too many athletes. I think Loudon can score 20+ but I see Alcoa scoring 40+. Lets hear the scores so we'll have something to talk about
  23. I dont think loudon will be looking ahead. they played very sloppy last week (looking past wartburg) so hopefully thats out of their system
