I say MHS stay in 5A..So Barney can get home and get back to the bottle quicker...Wb tried to help him get to the bar quicker Monday night by having 8 min quarters and he still complained...

Has anyone seen QB #7??? He set the line at HHS -14.5 last week against WB and I just wonder if he got taken to the cleaners after that bad line? Hope he is ok...

Nice call on the thumping Govfan18 and the rest of the mounties that will be in hibernation until womens basketball... I told yall it doesn't matter HHS always seems to make the plays to lose or Wb makes the plays to win in this rivalry. As for the game, the officiating was bad. multiply blocks in the back both ways that went uncalled, 2 bad spots from the line judge on the WB side, couple PI that weren't called on WB, and a offsides on WB from the 8 that they gave HHS the ball on the 3 instead of half the distance to the goal 4 yard line, HHS scores on the 4th and goal next play. did anyone else notice Bledsoe for HHS moving forward at every snap? ..but the refs did not effect the outcome of the winner. What an effort by the govs, Starting QB and safety go down on 2nd drive, and they rally the troops.Devin Fair was a beast and looks to be the missing link the govs have needed the first 4 weeks, Im so proud of these guys this year their backs were really against the wall and the kept the streak alive..#18straight

Who do u blame for the underthrown ball then? Daniels needs to be the guy and the team needs to rally behind him, HVA will be tough but if WB win the Turnover battle they will have a chance to shock the district...

Well What a great win for Loudon, Unacceptable for WB. Loudon come out an busted Blount in the mouth and are due all the credit for the win. Coach Harrig has been one of the best in the area for years, just unfortunate to be in same region/classification as Alcoa(but he fixed that).. WB gives up 205 to Jackson in the 1st half, finishes with 220.. WB gave up 28 pts in the first half and 3 in the 2nd half, I think WB made the adjustments they needed to on defense to win the game... Loudon was 3/3 on 4th downs that killed WB, and a muffed punt hurt WBs lil bit of momentum . Things that didn't go WB way 1.Deflected pass that hit MLB in the hands that landed in Fergusons lap for a TD 2.Fumble on the 5 yard line 3.Interception in the Endzone 4.Muffed punt If those things go in WB favor it may have been a different outcome, but they didn't and Loudon deserves the credit for making the plays to win the game. Coaches: First Half Ridge said they didn't call a great half and it showed, play calling was better in the 2nd but just didn't make enough plays. The drive that started with WB down 31-19 with 9 minutes to go is the drive I look back on as the most important drive, Tipton had ran well most of the game and with the ball on WB 30 facing 3 and 4 I think if u give tipton a chance he may keep the chains moving, instead back to back incompletions and loudon gets a short field... I wouldn't get too hype if im heritage , WB is better than they showed and I cant ever see HHS beating WB(since ive been around WB football it hasn't happened so why this year?..make me believe I guess is what im trying to say) Good luck Loudon stay healthy and u will be in the playoffs. Didnt this same thing happen at William Blount this year in football? Kid transfered from Maryville, TSSAA said u are eligible to play right away, 3 weeks later said no u werent eligible, and had to vacate wins. Signal Mt had something similar to that also.. Doesnt matter cause BBall is all about tournament play.

I wouldnt look to much into that thumping at Stone...Jones knew he was in a no win situation up there,and yes Stone may have taken one of his pawns but the game of chess isnt just 1 little battle its a bunch of battles and so far it looks like he and his team still have a chance to put East Tn AA basketball in checkmate. Big game tonight for the rebels as they take on Bearden for 2nd in the District, Bhs has been playin really good as of late but if the rebels take care of the ball and shoot it decent i can see an upset... Alcoa is on the road at Scott Co tonight, this should be their last real test in the district, but playing 6 games in the next 10 days may wear on them..(guess im making excuses already for the FEB 10th rematch.LOL)

They took some bad losses last year also, and Knox West had them beat in the Quarterfinals with 1 min to go, so if u are looking past the defending champs then you shouldnt post much more on here. A run at a State Title in Basketball???? Maybe a run a the State Tourny but unless something crazy like Maryville in 2007 happens there is no chance of winning it.... Southwind,Melrose, Craigmont, White Station, Clarksville NE are way better teams. Gold Balls seem to go to the west in boys bball,just saying...

Cletus im not sure how the wildcards work,but if WB wins and Catholic beats Bearden that would put WB 3rd in the district, I know only top 2 are locked in(Maryville,West). If they only base it on record I believe we will be on the outside looking in, but if they look at how the district finishes then WB has a chance. If all of this does happens and WB doesnt get in and Bearden does then they will be putting the 5th place team in the district in over the 3rd..... at 5-5 I think WB would have been a lock 4-5 im not sure,you are right the Bearden game and Central game killed.... These players need something good to happen to them.10 wins 4 years no playoffs, this Senior class is a pretty special class if this does happen I would just feel terrible for everyone of them. WB 31 FHS 21 in a mild upset....

Yes both kids now at Alcoa have moved into apartments in the city of Alcoa(I know one of them isnt that cheap). Yes they did have to move to be eligble, as far as payint tuition and living in knoxville im not sure, but u can live in blount county an pay tuition at Alcoa. SOmeone said maryville is cuttin back tuition students....I bet if Prevo,Robinette,West,Shinsky,Kimble,Edminston,Garrett,Landers were tuition payers and had bad grades they would just warn them then help get their grades up before sending them on their merry way... but if a non-athlete tuition kid has bad grades i bet he/she is out the door quickly... What is the latest on the appeal process?? WB did nothing wrong they gave TSSAA the info they were givin and TSSAA said he can play...SOunds to me like they are the ones that need to be fined for not lookin into the situtation...

One of the players told me Wed night that he(Fuller) had moved into an apt in the city of maryville to become elgible at MHS,this year, but his family was only stayin there 6 nights out of 7 nights of the week, so that would mean he had duel residency and w/o mother and father going through a divorce then that would make him inelgible. He should have said that they were moving into a new house in the blount county zone, because by TSSAA rules you cant move back into your orginal house for 1 year. I still dont understand why T$$AA would say he was elgible then come back two weeks later, sounds to me like they should have checked on it before making him elgible, and there is NO WAY they should be allowed to take the WIN away.. A letter sent to TSSAA by someone???If maryville didnt care(and everyone i have talked to said they didnt care)but a lot of MHS fans seem to make a big deal on here about it so who knows?? If that is true that means someone from inside the WB family(probably upset that his son was losing playin time) sent the letter...

Seems like coach Rankin has done a great job with Peyton. He went in and went 2-2 in the fourth quarter. He has worked him in and built him up with confidence, so that he can become a bigger part of the team as the season progresses. Keep it up lil Wall...

I look for the Govs to be a little more crisp on offense this week(less illegal shifts and stuff), Should be a great game, Govs by 7, Get it boys!!
