Marshall County wont beat Lawrenceburg. I said what I said. The feeder program to Lawrence County has gone unbeaten the past 3 seasons and in that time is 3-0 versus Lewisburg Jr High. Lawrence may be the most improved team in this entire region. This coming from a dude that cannot stand Lawrenceburg High School.

You keep saying "it was 14-7 early in the 4th quarter" as if it is a badge of honor. Didnt they outscore you 10-0 in that 4th quarter and beat you 24-7? Blown out, dude. You are the definition of sunshine pumper.

Gotta put Summertown in this mix. 4 returning starters including Karli Campbell. Gotta feel like WV and Summertown with a leg up on the competition in that region.

Im blown away that he would walk away from Rockvale after taking a brand new program to the playoffs in just 3 years. He was building something special there.

So if we are complaining about the refs, lets look at this objectively. If you watch Karly, whenever she has the ball in her hands, she uses her off hand to push off and keep defenders at arms distance. By rule, that is an offensive foul. Shall we call it? They seldom do.

I have to think that the two teams that come out of here have to be the favorites in the Boro. I cant imagine any other bracket having the type of teams this one does.

Congrats on the big win. I have actually told people if DCR won this game you could pencil them into the semis. I just dont see Forrest being able to stop that offense. That is something special going on there.

Summertown has won 6 straight and in the past 5 games have allowed a total of 49 points, including holding Lewis County to just 6. IF you are going to throw it on Summertown, you are going to have to be accurate. The Eagles had 4 interceptions against East Hickman. Offensively, Summertown will be led by #12 Colton Shaffer and #24 Javen Edminston. Another young man stepping up lately has been Gavin Robinson. Edminston had 88 yards rushing to go with 32 yards receiving against East Hickman. Shaffer had 130 yards passing to go with 57 yards rushing from the qb spot. This game has the makings of a classic 2A playoff game. It could very well come down to the last possession and who has the ball last.

General, general, general. Casacde is better than Lewis County. Trust me, seen Lewis multiple times. Cascade wins this.

Didnt help you against Summertown. Im telling you from seeing both teams. Cascade is better than Lewis County and the Panthers are a one man show. Heck, at one point you were direct snapping it to him and didnt even have your qb on the field against them boys in blue two weeks ago.

Come on General. Ive watched them both up close. Im telling you, Cascade is the better of the two teams. Lewis County is a 1 man show. Stop him and you shut down Lewis County. Cascade wins this. Heck, Lewis County struggled with Loretto (Final I believe was 7-6 and Loretto was driving and ran out of time if I recall correctly).

Im not convinced that Riverside beats East Hickman a second time the way they are playing right now. 6 of 7 games they have won and put up 40+ in each of them. If you get them again, you might be packing it up for basketball early.

I mean, they did lead Fayetteville at the half 8-0. They could absolutely pull an upset if they get them again. Dont know much about 1A but in the West it seams a foregone conclusion that it will come down to Peabody and Fayetteville. In the East, I would be shocked if anyone other than SP gets there. As for 2A, it seems to me that Forrest/Riverside winner versus the Westview/Hunt winner. I do think people might be overlooking East Hickman. They are playing really good football right now. Winners of 6 of 7 and put up 40+ in each of those wins. The only loss in that stretch was Riverside 20-12. Im really not looking forward to them coming to Summertown.

Cascade will win this game. Ive seen both teams play. Beyond Carroll, Lewis County really isnt very good. I would much rather be playing them than East Hickman, that much is for sure.

Summertown takes the #2 in R5. We will be hosting East Hickman. This is the first ever meeting between the 2 schools at the varsity level.

And there we have it...10 games later and this is how it shook out 1. Forrest 2. Summertown 3. Cascade 4. Loretto 5. Richland 6. Mt Pleasant Crazy end to the Summertown/Cascade game. Summertown had take a 21-17 lead. Cascade fumbled with roughly 3 minutes to play, giving SHS the ball with the lead. With 13 seconds left, Summertown was forced to punt from their own 33 yard line. Coach Dakota Crews made the gutsy call. Sends in Colton Shaffer as the punter. Shaffer takes the snap and runs to the end zone where he runs around until the play clock hits zero before going down with what appeared to be a safety and ending the game by giving them 2 rather than risking a punt block for a scoop and score or a kick return for a td. BUT....there was a holding call on Summertown and a personal foul/unsportsmanlike conduct on Cascade. Off setting penalties. Replay the down with no time on the clock. Summertown takes a knee and caps off the win. The Eagles will now host their first ever playoff game in Summertown as the #2 seed against 6-2A #3 seed East Hickman. East Hickman has bee playing some really good ball as of late and might actually be the better team than #2 seed Lewis County at this point in the season. Looks like it will be a very entertaining game in the pasture!!!

Greenbrier now gets Marshall County with the #4 seed on the line. MCHS is sitting at 4-3 in the region. GHS is sitting at 3-4. A Greenbrier win puts the Bobcats in as the #4 seed based on head to head tie breaker which would be a win over MCHS. Huge game

It isnt a given that you will be playing Summertown. Couple of things have to happen. To face SHS, Lewis must lose to Riverside and Summertown must lose to Cascade. Wit Summertown playing to host their first ever playoff game AT Summertown, I think they have the edge on Cascade. With Summertown being the #2 seed, they would not play Lewis County who can only be the 1 or 2. You could be playing Richland, Summertown, Cascade, or even possibly Loretto. Loretto could still get in with a win over Richland. That would leave RHS, LHS, and MT Pleasant tied. Tie break would fall to best over all record. That eliminates Mt P. Thus Loretto would get the nod based on win over RHS. So, this is going to be fun to watch this final week play out in R5.

If Lewis County should be ranked with 2 losses, should Summertown that beat them be ranked with 2 losses?

I have to think Summertown playing for the very first ever homefield playoff game in Summertown will have everything to play for against Cascade. Im predicting a Summertown win and taking the #2 seed in 5-2A.

Summertown with the HUGE win over Lewis County on Thursday night. Good ball game. All the marbles on the table for Cascade vs Summertown in the final week. Can SHS bring their first ever playoff game to the community of Summertown? That would be an absolute lit environment if they are able to get that opportunity.

Yes the smart money would be on Richland being the 4 seed. They play Loretto. Loretto is winless in the region. Richland does have 1 region win over Mt Pleasant. In an odd twist, if Loretto were to win that game Loretto would then get in. They would have all beaten each other, but Loretto and Richland would have more overall wins, thus eliminating MP in the 2nd tie break. Then it would fall to Loretto on head to head result. The way Richland has been playing of late, they should be an odds on favorite to beat Loretto.
