Any news on the kicker from Smyrna or the punter from Crossville?

In reading all the nominations that have been listed thus far it shows me Tennessee has some outstanding players that could be, or will be over looked by Tennessee, MTSU, UTC, etc. These young men would play very hard for any college if given the chance, and good luck to all seniors.

Tomorrows game might be a good time for Stansell to hit one of those 55+ FG's!

My observation is a lack of discipline on this McMinn squad. The players must believe in the system and the staff and I don't see that on the field or at practice. Boys are NOT paying attention during practice or laying on the field while others practice. I believe if you look like a team, and practice like a team, you can win. McMinn had discipline last year and you see how well we did. The sagging shorts, the language, the disrespect has got to stop! Coaches need to take control of this team, and get these young men to believe in themselves and this program or Cherokee football is done.

To all the Owl fans, congradulations! I am a loyal Cherokee fan and have been for years and we got beat and beat bad. We never showed up and had zero emotion during warmups. The Owls have some great looking athelets and I hope you win out in the region.

Should be the starting tailback. Gained size and speed.

Don't believe all you read in the media. Loosing Brent is a blow to this team, he is a great motivator and the boys responded well to his coaching abilities. I think there are a lot of ego's that need to be reeled in before the season starts. Looks to me there are more volunteer coaches than paid coaches on this team.

The way I understand it was Centrals varsity beat the JV squad from McMinn.

McMinn will have a strong defense but they need to be able to score points. I think McMinn will take Cleveland.

Hats off to a very good WB team. McMinn seniors didn't show up for the game, and the leadership was not there. WB punter is the real deal, and I hope he goes far. McMinn's punter is a junior. Best of luck WB.

McMinn lost to a good OR team by giving up 4 big plays, and a young QB throwing into double coverage.

I'll take another OT victory anyday. McMinn's kicker is real good from 50 yards in!

TribeFan your seeing the same things I'm seeing at practice. The Tribe will need to be mistake free on Friday, and I am seeing a much closer game than is predicted. Never know about us going to a Power I formation, and running the new FB right up the gut. He is a beast!

TribeFan I agree about the kicking game for the Cherokees.

This will be a close game. Benny Monroe is a very smart coach and will have a strong game plan for tonight. Owls by 10.
