What kind of a game do you think Cheatham County will give you. They where 21-11 last year but lost a few players.

It could get ugly this year with Cheatham's girls. They might average winning by 20 pts. If they do that then thier bench will gain extra playing time. If they get some added help from the bench that might be what they need to get over the hump at the state.The boy's will just working on getting better and maybe make some noise in post season

The whole problem with NW is that the assistant coaches have to do all of the coaching. Ross will just sit in his office chair on the floor with his cowboy boots and stink on a tooth pick. He is just sucking up money until he retires

Until they get rid of Coach Ross they will never win. He is the worst coach in Clarksville and he has been there since the 1930's. All joking aside it is time for a change at NW

This season should be an exciting one. We have new coaches this year at Waverly, Sycamore, and Stewart. I think Waverly and Sycamore will stay the same but Stewart County should be much improved. I don't know how many wins they will get but they will be tough to beat. This district is a toss-up. This district seems to always be about match-ups. You take Waverly who won most of their games against Sycamore but then Cheatham has pretty much swept Waverly since coach Jackson got there. Any given night you can lose if you don't bring your A game. Good luck to all the teams.

What a great job the lady cubs did this year and tonight. The Cubs made big play after big play. Good luck Thursday.

I can tell you from watching tape lewis county can be beat. They better bring their track shoes. We are pushing the ball and our post will get lay-ups. Chris Davidson could have a big night shooting lay-ups and then we have at least four guys stroking the 3. If Lewis Co. want a W they better find a way to keep it a half court game. Go cubs and have so fun tonight.

Is it true that Waverly coach was tossed from the Houston Co. Game. If so, that was stupid. The Two game suspension with hurt them this week. It could be one and done for the tigers.

As far as the coaching staff, coach Jackson has always done a great job in the post season. At Clarksville Academy he went to the reigion about every year and won the region and went to the sweet sixteen in 98-99 and played in the substate as a freshman. The reason that he has had success is becuase he is able to get his team ready for the next game by making the right adjustments and adding new sets. It is hard for other teams to prepare beacuase he has so many plays. Coach Williams has been his assistant for over the last seven years so both coaches have been deep in the post-season. There are other teams in the district that also have good coaching staffs with post-season expeirance. It should be a great district tournment

That is the right order as long as Harpath takes care of Stewart Co. and they should. This tournment is wide open and anyone can win it.

Cubs over Waverly by ten and Harpath game called off by Sterwart Co.

The Cubs win again. They beat Waverly tonight by ten. The Cubs hit 13 three's tonight and now is tied for first with Waverly and I think Harpath. If the Cubs can win out they will win the district becuase of the tie breaker. But we have to take them one game at a time. It was a wild game and there were some poor calls but that makes it four in a roll for the Cubs.

What a game! Both teams hit big shot after big shot. It just finally came down to execution. With 5.3 sec. to go we didn't get over to Tinch and he had a wide open look for 3. Sycamore didn't have any time outs and all we had to do was let them shot a 2 and not inbound the ball. But the lost right now is not going to hurt the Cubs. We would have the tie breaker if we end up with the same record. The stuff about the fans is just crazy. Most of them just come to start crap and don't even watch the game. Let the football stuff go. Don't dwell on the past, just like this game it is history.

The cubs have two go to players in Smith and Bowers. Bowers leads the cubs in rebounding and assist and can flat shoot the ball. Smith has the biggest heart in the district and can make big shots. The key to finishing first is consistance. Don't get to high or to low. It can be won by anyone and will go down the last week to determine it. This district is like the SEC. Anyone can win on anynight anywhere.

Creekwood is the team that scares everyone this year. Last year it was the Cubs. Nobody wants to play them. They are a tough team. Which team come out strong early should win. It will be all about defense tonight.

I know that a few coaches in our distict cuss their players and many others do also. I just don't think there is any place for that in the game. It would not make me play any better. What are you teaching the kids by cussing them? I was just wondering what some of your opions are?

The cubs have got lucky the last three games with waverly maybe if we beat them in a few weeks it will not be luck. Maybe then we will just deserve it !

I think the biggest thing is this game is the match-ups. For what ever reason Waverly does not play well against the Cubs. We beat them twice last year and now in our first meeting this year. I think we just give them some problems that other teams don't. The Cubs have a problem matching up with other teams and we have problems. Waverly is a solid team and we got a big win. The reason the cubs have been up and down is because our defense has been that way. If we could stay consistant on defense and boxing out instead of jumping with people we can win some big games. The Cubs play a tough scedule with wins over triple A teams such as Rossveiw, Kenwood, and Gallatin. So we can play with athletes. The cubs are starting to come together at the right time.

The cubs pull out a great win saturday night over Gallatin. The cubs owned the boards and really showed the can play with anyone. They have also lost to some teams this year that they should have won. The season has been up and down but hopefully this will pick-up after christmas.

What about them Cubs. The Cubs won tonight 66 to 48. Defence and Sycamore's poor shooting helped the cubs get their first district win of the year. Alex Bowers had 22 points and Neol chipped in 19. I don't think the Cubs where ever behind in the game. The only thing I don't understand is why their coach pulled his starters to start the fouth quarter. They still could have come back. Great win for the Cubs and Harpath is next at home. It should be a close game.

This is the deal. Sycamore won the district tournment last year. They are where we want to be. They are the team to beat. Friday is our chance to make strides to be the best in our district. Yes, Cheatham is a much improved team over last year and this team is not like two years past. We aren't the whipping boys any more.The cubs play hard, they are well coached and lost two games by a combined 4 pionts. We are a team to deal with this year. I expect this friday to be exciting and the place to be. We have our hands full and need to bring our A game. The best thing about this team is the balance of our scoring. We can have all five starters in double figure so you just can't stop one player. The cubs biggest obsticle is with standing the runs that Sycamore will have. They can shoot the three and have a good post game. They are also well coached and I am sure they have scouted us to death. I think this game will come down to turnovers converted into points, foul trouble, and who owns the boards.

Neither team played great tonight. Cheatham wins by ten and Alex Bowers had a big night scoring and Brain Moss, Blake lovell and Noel Smith played great defense.This game boiled down to lay-ups and better balance team for Cheatham. 2-1 so far for the season. Go Cubs

They whiped Rossview in every phase of the game. I was scouting Rossview and I couldn't get much out of it because the blue devils took them out of what the do. Lebanon can stroke the three and their defense was very good. A team with some size should give them problems.
