Pretty much how I see it this week too. I do think Beech has the best shot to upset your predictions, and it kills me to pick against the Jackets. Hope I’m dead wrong in that aspect.

Will Sumner county put money into a stadium that they don’t own or that is even in Sumner county?

If Springfield can get the bad/high snap situation fixed the offense will look 10x better. For most of the game last week the offense was out of sink due to poor snaps. Routes looked good and there was running lanes but the timing was off because of the snaps. Defense looked good as always but if the O puts them in bad spots this week, it’ll be a long night for the Jackets.

Must be metal structure bleachers. Looks like it’s just the 40+ year old concrete giving issues…….shocker, but yes it is hard to believe. If I lived in Westmoreland and had kids playing ball there I’d be raising 10 kinds of cane about Liberty Creek. Westmoreland, from the outside looking in, has been neglected the most of all the Sumner county schools

I wonder if Sumner county will have a good inspection of all athletic facilities after this? Some of the older places like Portland and Westy come to mind. Not a good look for them especially after spending what they did at the little college of Liberty Creek.

From what I saw of Greenbrier’s 1st team offense against Kirkwood, I don’t see the Jacket’s defense giving up more than a score or two at the most to them.

Greenbrier didn’t impress me playing most of their starters the whole jamboree against a sub-par Kirkwood. Jacket’s 1’s looked crisp with the small sampling I saw. Jackets by 4 or more scores….again

That week 3 game between our two teams will shine some light on how our seasons will go.

Just taking a wait and see approach like was said earlier. Not trying to over-inflate this years team, like some posters on other threads do year in and year out before they actually see a product on the field. Lots of big pieces had to be replaced from last years team other than the QB. Skill players, lineman, RB’s etc. had to be replaced. I’m sure our excellent coaching staff will have this team improving and playing good ball as the season progresses.

Sounds like you hit the nail on the head. I’m curious to see how Hendersonville and Springfield look next Friday night in their jamboree games with Hendersonville playing a very good and athletic East Robertson and Springfield playing Rossview who have gave them tough games the past few years.

And don’t forget about the QB transferring in from Smith…..can’t t leave him out lol. In all seriousness this up coming fall should have some great region match ups. IMHO: 1. Beech 2. HC 3-4 will be a toss up between Springfield and HV. That being said This region will sweep region 8 in the first round playoffs probably for the foreseeable future, and most likely represent the west in championship game.

I fully understand the family connection and meant it jokingly. Props to Coach Crabtree tho for filling a gap with a high quality qb for the next couple of years.

False to answer you question, that’s obviously been answered plenty on here. What I don’t like is a lot of teams, mine included (Springfield), running strictly out of the gun. I think it creates bad situational football especially in short yardage situations when you never go under center. I’ve never understood it.

I don’t blame Clay County’s coach one bit for getting in the refs ear……I would make them toss me. That last TD call was terrible not that it matters now but it’s a State championship game and the refs have to be better than that.

I think both fan bases know that this will be a close, hard fought, game between two evenly matched teams. Neither side can boast about blowing the other one out, hence the crickets……
