btowntigers
Wow...not even I would have predicted that JNS would be the easternmost team playing tomorrow. 825623675 me either but most people out here were almost sure AA and AAA would have all west tn finals so this isnt a huge shocker to me. I'd rather go to the 'Boro as go to Memphis!!! 825623728 why is that???? you must think Memphis is more dangerous or something? if thats the case dont believe everything you hear.....stay out of Frayser, etc. and you'll be alright. i got a question if anyone can answer this.....has this ever happend before? all 6 teams in the finals from west tn??? PBG030
Playing in Memphis is not a good idea...TSSAA needs a neutral site and the Nashville area is convenient for all teams...Someone once said that Vandy would be a good place to have it...That would be a cool place to have it. There's not a huge difference between a 3-hour drive and a 5-hour drive for most of the teams, though.
mphstigerfan
If they let Memphis host it they would probably hold part of it in Mississippi or something dumb like that. (see spring fling)

(see spring fling) 825623829 At this point, it's actually the TSSAA insisting that softball should be at Southaven. King Ronnie doesn't want to move it to a different venue in Germantown, nor will he allow it to be split up at all like baseball is. There's no way we'd put basketball in Mississippi and you know it. When I said Nashville area I was meaning all the way to Murfreesboro. I know it is outside of nashville. At the time I couldn't think of how to spell murfreesboro so i put Nashville...but then i just mean Vandy would be good... I was just saying Murfreesboro was a good neutral site... This is the first year I did not hear anyone say that "they" were talking about moving it to Memphis.I knew people just always talked every year, but I didn't hear it this year..is this because it probably will never happen?I sure hope it is never moved to Memphis. Not fair to the rest of the state.

Personally, I think the state tournament should be at the best arena(s) the state has to offer, to make it that much more special. FedExForum in Memphis, Gaylord in Nashville, and Thompson-Boling in Knoxville are the three in Tennessee where, IMO, it would be special to play in the building. No offense to MTSU, but the Murphy Center just isn't on that list.
Harris' hooligans
if they can't sell out Murphy Center why should it be in these other larger arenas
gomab2
I like it in the Boro... Central site, great town that's not too big, great atmosphere, beautiful campus, and I would take the Glass House over Gaylord anyday for a HS event...
