Sballer22
The Diamond Dodgers are an OK team, but I wouldn't go as far as saying they are one of the best 16U teams in the state... 825700128[/snapback] They are better than OK!! They are GREAT!

To bad all of yall werent @ our tourny in Kentucky. The 16U Sliders where there, a very hard team who was #1 in that tourny in their pool play games & didnt let a run score up until they played the 16U Dodgers. We scored against them & put them out of the tourny. & the Dodgers beat Crossville in a past tournament to. We have had an execellent season and play 1 more tourny in Ohio. As for up in Crossville the past weekend, like was said, we had 2 main people out/ injured. So basically we werent our team up there. And unlike some teams...Crossville being 1.. We didnt play B ball in that tournament. We played our caliber in A brackett and didnt just play B ball so we could play teams that were of lesser caliber than we are. Because Crossville should play A ball..due mainly to their pitcher they picked up from York Institute, who is a really good pitcher. And the Sliders are one of the Best teams on the East Coast and have people that could and probably will end up playing Division 1 softball in the future and the Dodgers beat them in a game where both teams played excellent. Bananza13
I have only saw one pitcher for the 16U. She was good, but hittable, as is every pitcher. Infield is decent. Didn't see anything spectacular from the outfield, one error by the right fielder, a ball rolled by her. Catcher had "ok" hands but a weak arm. They played in a real tourny...the State... and went 2 and home without scoring a run. If two players are the difference between "Dominating" and not scoring a single run then the 16U Dodgers are not an A team and definately not one of the best "TEAMS" in the state. Dont know what the deal with Crossville is. But the only 16U team from Crossville that i know of is the Cyclones and they are a below average travel team with 1 good pitcher and a decent one that gets the job done. The team is basically the underclassmen from the highschool and a few pick ups. There Ace Pitcher is playing 18U Thunder.

They lost thier main ingrediants, you can't expect to play up to your ability with two main players gone! Thats the facts. The team just didn't have the same heart with those players gone! They still could have dominated but thier heart was gone, cuz they thought that they couldn't win, without those players! They had it in thier head that they weren't good without them, so they played like they weren't good! They just came from a tourny in Ohio! There was 24 teams up there, Dodgers came in 1st! We played and beat the best team from New York and Ohio! So apparently were the best in three states!! And the catcher threw out 4 ppl this week end! Hmm, don't think she had to weak of an arm! They are better than just an average B team they are one of the best A teams around!

They also leave the state and local area and dont play the same teams all the time like some teams around here do.

So i don't see how playing teams from here all the time could be bad. Maybe a little boring at times but not a bad thing! thumb
