As long as the National league wins, I will be a happy man.  I am sick of starting the world series in New York or Boston, or this year, probably Chicago (WS).  It better start in STL, BABY!!!!!

well i hate to rain on your parade but its most likely gonna start in the AL(Boston!!) again cause the starting lineups really dont compare. Varitek is way better than Piazza, Roberts is better than Kent, Tejada crushes Eckstein, Arod kills Rolen, and Abreu is the only NL outfielder that can match Manny, Bad Vlad, or Damon...first base is the only position the NL has an edge it. the NL has better pitchers though since Halladay broke his league...if Clemens and D-Train can pitch like they have all season they might be able to keep the NL in the game.

Derek Lee has the edge but not by a whole lot!

 

Lee-.378 27 HR 72 RBI

Mark Teixeira-.290 25 HR 73 RBI

 

Derek Lee has been awesome this year and that .378 is unbelievable, but Teixeira will have theses numbers for years to come! Teixeira may be the most underrated player in MLB!

Rolen is to sit out All Star game, also.  Just decided after last night's win.  I am glad, however.  I would rather have him healthy for the season rather than an all star game.

And Chris Carpenter is going to be your starter for the NL. You guys can complain about that today and how it should have been someoen else.

I thought Roger Clemens was, but anyways Carpenter is a good pitcher and deserving all-star 11-2 or something like that.......I just said Rolen shouldn't have went because he was on DL most of the season and since he's been back hasn't put up excellent numbers........

im not gonna complain but im not buying Larussa's reason for not picking D-Train to start.... he said since the Marlins catcher, Paul Lo Duca, was gonna come in later in the game he wanted Willis to pitch then. right, i sense a little favortism. atleast Carpenter really did deserve to be there unlike some people.

      Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.

      Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.

      I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
