Memphis' newspaper, "The Commercial Appeal," has rated 6 of the 12 Dandy Dozen teams as of August 16.

Those teams are:

#12-Cordova

#11-Ridgeway

#10-Whitehaven

#9-Houston

#8-White Station

#7 Collierville

Anyone got any predicitons for the remaining positions, or picks for #1? Remember, the teams covered are in West Tennessee, Northern Mississipi and Eastern Arkansas. I believe that Melrose will be #1. Good Luck this year teams and Go Brothers!

Melrose without a doubt Southhaven will also be high. I have a problem with White Station at number 7 they have alot to prove to be that high.

word on the street is that gtown, melrose, and mus are the top 3- in no particular order.. just what ive heard through hear-say

olive branch has to be up there they are loaded this year...i also have a problem with white station at #7. last year they got dismantled by ridgeway (42-14) when they boasted the cities best offense...they have qb issues among other problems and must replace many key players even though charlie jordan is back

MUS is 6th and CBHS is 5th- through today.. i dont see how east is ranked higher than 5th? the only returning player they have thats going to make an impact is vaughn and the qb (dont know his name).. last year they had more returning players and got dismantled by mus and cbhs

i agree with these two rankings. CBHS will return strong (i hope) and even though MUS had heavy senior losses, i don't see them dropping much in the poll.

I also think it will be 4-Whitehaven, 3-East, 2-Germantown, 1-Melrose

I have to agree with RHSplaya WS is not to sharp except for Charlie Jordan they will go 6-4 plus they are to scared to play their main rival.

Doesn't White Station have a pretty good passing game as well as their RB? I know that their RB is good but his stats are kind of misleading. If there is one thing CBHS can do, it's run and stop the run. (CBHS plays WSHS Sat. @ Liberty Bowl) I just hope their passing isn't as good as last year. Correct me if i'm wrong
