moneymike05
atleast I can say you are a true Elizabethton fan most people would be to embarrased of even being an Elizabethton Cyclone fan right now.And if you haven't noticed Elizabethton is the only team in Carter County right now without a win so are they still deserving of that # 7 spot

By season's end, they will be higher than that. And yes, I'm a fan, but also a realist. They are the best 0-3 team in the state and it will show the next few weeks. As far as Carter County teams, there are some good ones this year, but none has faced the competition that the Cyclones have. If we can get our coaches awake it would help. You might want to note that last year we started 0-2, but didn't play week 0 vs. DB. The Cyclones were a final 8 team by season's end losing to a very tough Viking team. As always Mike, GO FOR THE MONEY!!! Edited September 14, 2005 by GLee
THSViking
I agree with you GLee. Your assessment of the cyclones and the rest of the teams in the area is right on. DB and Science Hill seem to be above the rest. In my opinion, THS is not far behind, but to this point really haven't proven it. I will admit that the south game scares me. They seem really tough, especially after playing DB 7-6. Worst of all we play South the week after DB, that doesn't help our chances. We deserve to be 4th right now, and until we beat one of the teams above us, that is where we will stay. I think we should fare pretty well with the rest of the conference, but South will be the test.

Pudding
He must have the good stuff Reno. 825749983[/snapback] Putting Danny Boone in the top 5 is very suspect. It's does make one wonder. Makes me wonder if he's been hanging out in downtown Kingsport with former Tribe players. Could be, from what was in the Kingsport Times today.... how sad. Call me crazy, but, Pudding sees the order a bit different: 1. Morristown West 2. Science Hill 3. Sullivan South 4. Dobyns Bennett 5. Tennessee High 6. Cherokee 7. Johnson County 8. Cloudland 9. Danny Boone 10. Happy Valley I could see Betsy breakin' in a top 10 as the season goes on, considering the 3 teams they start with, but until you get past 0-3, I', not gonna put 'em in the 10. BigReno
Pudding, How many losses did you say DB would have by now? That's what I thought. Go right on thinking that South and Science Hill are better. Go right on making jokes about former players. Does that make you feel like more of a man? Remember Michael Jackson sees things differently too. How much do you two have in common?
randy3116
Just my opinion but here goes... 1. Dobyns-Bennett (3-1) - maybe not as strong but still a very good team 2. Hamblen West (3-0) - winning attitude is back this year 3. Science Hill (3-0) - 'Toppers are looking good so far 4. Tennessee (2-1) - very strong again this year 5. Sullivan South (3-1) - below the Vikings until they prove otherwise 6. Cherokee (3-0) - the Chiefs are still pounding the rock 7. Daniel Boone (3-0) - big game with Cherokee this Friday 8. Sullivan East (3-1) - continuing last year's winning ways 9. Cloudland (3-1) - the 'Landers gave Cherokee all they wanted 10. Johnson County (2-1) - traditionally strong first part of season 11. Sullivan North (2-1) - Raiders' 1st year in 4A and making waves early 12. Hamblen East (1-2) - took Jefferson County to 4 overtimes 13. Happy Valley (2-1) - making the list from class 2A 14. Hampton (2-1) - another 1A team making the grade 15. (tie) Elizabethton (0-3); Greeneville (0-3) - tough schedules early on
pujo
Every poll on here has Hampton too far down. I'm sure this will change as the year goes by. They were playing way below their potential when they lost to Johnson Co, still dominated the second half. Johnson Co had 2 first downs the whole second half. Hampton outgained Johnson Co on the ground and through the air. The last two games could have been 70 to 0. Unicoi Co is not that great but they have played everyone else alot closer. I think the first half stats when the starters were playing was something like Hampton 270 yrds to Unicoi 20. Hampton 30 to zip at half and 2 fumbles probably cost them 2 more touchdowns.
