Huntington beat Dresden 21-12

East Robertson beat Dresden 43-27 (worse than Huntington)

Ezell Harding beat East Robertson 42-18

Ezell was picked to finish 4th in 5-2A.

You could argue from above Huntington is not as strong as previously thought.

 

Next: Fairview lost to Goodpasture 49-25. Fairview beat Ezell, so either East Robertson is weak or Ezell has really gotten better, or Goodpasture is stronger than people thought.

 

Get this: Boyd Buchanan beat CPA 36-9, CPA beat DCA.

Then Boyd lost to Fulton 43-7; then Fulton lost to Alcoa 46-8.

Wow - it appears Alcoa is the class of 2A.

No argument there. CPA lost to what appears to be an average Boyd team 36-9 and no one is considering them a contender. I believe East Robertson is probably better than they showed against Ezell, and CPA is better than they showed against Boyd.

Ont thing for sure: 5-2A is a strong region.

LOL....divepix that was something good to think about. I remember a couple of years ago or so MTSU should have been ranked #1 in the country based on the same logic. Now that was pretty cool!

 

Alcoa is good no doubt, but they`ll getthe opportunity to show it. Plenty of middle and west tn teams that can play a little football too.

Fairview did not beat us. The just scored more points. The only points the scored in the 2nd half was a last second field goal to win the game which should have never happen. We did not come to play that night. Turnovers killed us that night, but we did not turn it over vs. East Robertson and knocked out #7 and forced their offense to drive. Other than special teams mistakes they had nothing.

That's what losing is... when the other team scores more points than you. Fairview held Ezell scoreless for 3 quarters. If I were to use your logic, Fairview could say that if they scored touchdowns instead of field goals off of 4 ints and 4 sacks, the game wouldn't have been close to start with. Show some class and give credit when its due.
