Chris Johnson from Campbell County. 336 yrds on 36 carries and 5 tds. Like loweman#28 said, doesn't matter who you play, it's not easy getting that many yards.

I've seen a couple of posts on this thread referring to the "class" of the Oak Ridge program, which I agree. However, calling another team "crappy" doesn't fit the mold. Let the young man from Campbell County receive some accolades, too.

Gulmire for Oak Ridge is amazing. Anyone who can take over the all time leading rushing spot at a school that has such a storied tradition and so many great former players deserves a ton of respect.

 

Dustin Lyndsey at Alcoa is very good.

 

Ryan Tallent is the best in Blount County and the best I've seen since Carl Stewart and Cassen Jackson. In all his time I've never seen one man bring him down alone after he's started moving.

I agree Trace Mcdermott has did a very good job this year with over or pretty close to it 600 yards already in 5 games which includes 2 games over 190 yards

From the games i have seen, Lindsay (Alcoa) and Tallent (Maryville) are good, and so is Baker (Maryville). Shiverdecker has failed to really impress me since they played Hopkinsville. Fulton he did decent, but so far has not lived up to the first game.

I don't know if you would consider him in this topic becuase he got hurt after two games, but anthony ahthaway from boyd buchanan was something to see before he tore his acl. he had power, speed, and vision. It is very obvious that he was a huge part of boyds offense. I am not sure the exact stats but after two games he had almost 450 yards rushing and like 6 tds. It was enough to stay as the city leader even after the next weeks games. Hopefully he will make a quick recovery, and will be able to peform like he has previously.

Adam Townsed of the Hampton Bulldogs has 819 yards an just 46 carries has anyone beat that! He also has 12 TD'S
