Yes, I've seen both Lake County and Union City play this year. Also, the teams I listed weren't how I ranked them, they were in alphabetical order, as westtnbball pointed out.

I have seen both teams play this year as well along with Bradford, Dresden, Gleason, Humboldt, South Fulton, and Peabody. The only two teams I've yet to see play are Greenfield and Halls, so I feel like my opinion is an "expert judgement."

Best single A district maybe ever.

1. Union City

2. Trenton

3. Lake County

4. Humboldt

5. Bradford

6. Dresden

7. Halls

8. Greenfield

9. South <a href='http://www.coacht.com/inside/team.cfm?SchoolID=159&SportID=3' target='_blank'>Fulton</a>

10. Gleason

I like:

1. Union City - best coached and probably most talented

2. Humboldt - loads of talent

3. Lake County - deep

4. Bradford - sleeper, well coached or will play above their head

5. Trenton - too many head cases

6. Greenfield - will be tough to beat but not alot of talent

7. Dresden - will beat someone not supposed to

8. Halls - ?

9. Gleason - well coached but little talent

10. South Fulton - rebuilding

I agree somewhat with this except for a few changes. I would switch LC and Humboldt out, but I haven't seen them play either so they might very well be the number 2 team. I would also switch 4 and 6. Bradford may surprise some teams this year but I don't think they will be 4. Although they did play LC pretty good at their place, but we blew them out at LC. Your are definately right about Trenton. You couldn't have put it any better. Halls lost a lot and their coach had a heart attack and I heard is still pretty unstable, so who knows what they will be like now. But, they are always pretty tough. I might have put Halls a little higher, but other than that, it looks pretty good to me.

One of the definitions of opinion is..."formal,EXPERT judgement"

Formal,Expert Judgement=backinthaoc

By the way,my post wasn't an opinion,it was a fact...Read it again...

"westtn_basketball" and "JWhumboldt"........i think that you two take the most objective point of view of anyone on here. Both of you always just tell the facts and you dont try to defend things that you dont have proof for. THANKYOU.

There are always supporters and haters of coaches in the high school ranks. As far as the situation at SF and Coach Drivers abilities, he did have a kid named Trey Pearson on the team in 4 of 5 state tourney appearances including the GOLD ball season. How soon we forget?

Forgot Trey Pearson? I don't think so. But how many high school coaches with a mid major player on the team have gold balls? Not many. Trey was a good player on that team but he wasn't the only player. It took great coaching to compliment the talent.

    • Who will be some weapons Lexington will have on both sides of the ball?
    • How will McKenzie be under new coach this season?  Who are a few weapons they will have on offense and defense?
    • It's time to play everybody's favorite game of how is this season going to go. I'll undertake the fool's errand of a prediction. Encourage the region 2 fans to do the same. Cloudland: Top until they get beat always seem to perform year in year out with a small changing roster. Cosby, North Greene: These two could finish in either order they didn't have big senior classes. Lots of young guys got experience last season and most of their best athletes are upperclassmen it'll depend on coaching and if the kids can put it all together.  Jellico, Unaka: Like the two above could finish in either spot both of them lost key pieces to graduation. It'll depend on how returners play and if young guys can fill shoes.  Hancock: Small roster size devastated by a big senior class that took a lot of the experience and athleticism with them.
    • Confident that Marion, Moore, and Gordonsville are losses.  7-3 would be a nice turnaround.  5-5, 4-6, 3-7, etc. and it's a disappointment
