D.B. Greeneville, Crockett probably the best of the rest. Region 1 will have some kids are are competitive with any in the state.

nobody will know the top in each weight class until everyone does their hydration testing that is required by the state.... but I'm gonna guess that Usary wins his weight class this year like last year, anyone care to disagree?

What will be interesting will be to see who the teams that will be going to the state duals? You guys mentioned DB, Greeneville, Crockett, and Science Hill. That's 3 from one district and 1 from the other. Who's the second place team in District One?

 

Anyway, next topic.....Region 1 will be well represented with medalists - Caleb Myers (GRN), Bo Usary (SH), and Ethan Henley (SH). You've also got to believe that Garmer (DC), Mitchell (SH), Buchanan (SH), Felty (BN), Ricker (GRN), Robbins (JC), Williams (SH), Williamson (SH), Paddock (DC), Jones (SE), Lil' Usary (SH), Murray (SH), Sneed (GRN), Webb (KPT), Bowman (GRN), (and probably others that I have forgotten in my increasing age) will make some noise at the state tournament.

I would guess that Jefferson County will be the other team from District 1, but they won't be able to beat Crockett, DB, Science Hill, or Greenville. I also heard that Gut is no longer coaching so who knows.

Are there any new stud transfers or freshmen in the region this year? Also, when will the weight testing be done for this region?

I think Greeneville has a pretty good freshman coming up.

Is that the younger Myers? Or should I say, bigger Myers?

Yes that would be him. I got to roll around with him a little this summer and he's solid for a freshman. I would say he will easily place in the region this year.

Did Gut step aside to spend more time with his family? Who will be the new assistant at Jeff?

That program shoould be better than their performances, when you have 3 feeder schools you should have talent coming in each year.

Kole Bishop is a stud freshy coming up, and Jacob Tittle @ 103 should do pretty good if he stays healthy.

Zeke, good to see you back on the board. Are you healed up from your injury this summer? Tittle and Bishop should help. If you make 125 again, that will be a tough line-up from 103-125. Are you guys going to have a full line-up?
