coachh17
After a successful run with the Cyclone girls, Coach Mike Wilson is ready to lead the boys. What can we expect in his first season?
toto ut
i think betsy will do pretty well this year with central and volunteer moving up to aaa
screenandroll
Don't think the Cyclones will be any better than last year. Coach Wilson is not any better than Coach Hardin. Know Coach Wilson wanted to coach boys but think he is in for a rude awakening. There only chance is if Coach Wilson will let Coach Dugger do most of the coaching. Even though a couple of good teams left the conference Greene county is a very hard place to play. Can't look for many wins down there. Unless the schedule is much weaker than last year don't look for them to do much better. He should have stayed with the girls.
coacherdude
Don't be too quick to count the Cyclones out. They have some quality talent from last year (only one player graduated) and a few kids who have either stepped up or transferred in will make a difference. The big loss was Peters with the knee injury. You might be able to replace his play but you cannot replace his leadership. IF,BIG IF, Wilson can get them to play as a team, which they did not do last year, I think the Cyclones can finish as high as second in the conference. The battle for first will come down to Norman stopping Weaver from Erwin. Erwin will be the team to beat unless Norman can shut him down. Emotion will run high against Erwin with the boys playing against Hardin - both Ben and Tony. It will be a showdown. Go Cyclones!!!
CountryBoy4Life
They haven't lost anything but Charles Peters. With Taylor running the point, Nave will be able to move more without the ball. The transfer from the Hill will help with the scoring and take some pressure off Nave. This team wne 10-2 over the summer will the only losses to Volunteer and Tennessee High. They beat South Greene, Happy Valley, Gate City, and Sullivan North. The lost to Tenn. High by 5. This is not the same team from last year. They played together and had fun. If they play like they did in the summer, look for a second place finish behind Erwin, and possibly an upset over Erwin and a tie for first. CyclonePride
EHS will definitely be improved this year. The kids will like playing for Wilson more than they did for Hardin. They will be thin in the post, but loaded at guard.
screenandroll
They may improve some because the conference will not be as strong as last year. Just don't expect a whole lot of improvement. Don't think Norman will be able to do the job on the inside. Can't tell anything about what goes on in the summer with other teams. May find something out about yourself but not other teams, so don't put much stock in summer victories. Wilson will have a hard time getting the players to do the right things. Maybe I can be proven wrong but just don't look for it to happen.

coachh17
Any preseason scrimmage results yet?
CountryBoy4Life
The kid from Science Hill is Micah Collie. Very good slasher to the hole and finisher. He will take a lot of pressure off of Nave. They scrimmaged Hampton and lost by 4. But they were playing without Collie,Taylor and Henson. Collie has a lower back strain, Taylor has two pinched nerves on his lower back and Henson has a minor ankle sprain. They scrimmage again Saturday. GLee
Hampton was missing half of there Varsity as well. At least one of there starters is missing. Very true. Hard to guage either team in that situation, but it was good for both team's players that were there. GO BULLDOG FOOTBALL!!!!!
