All I here is Oliver Springs and Oneida. Did Coalfield just loose 1 player from last year squad that went to state. And what I have seen on here is they might come in 3rd. or 4th. in the district.

How good or bad will they be?

I don't think C-town isn't worthy of consideration as the top team in the district, over Oneida and Oliver Springs. I do think the departure of that one player is a pretty significant loss for a team that wasn't extremely deep last year. Most of the players coming off the bench last season were not of the same caliber of Conlon. Oneida lost no one, and it appears they have gotten stronger personnel wise. So it is not a stretch to think they are gonna contend for the title. Oliver Springs has had a wealth of talent for quite some time that has funneled into their high school. Talent that served them well at the AA level, so they should compete pretty well too. OS even beat Coalfield head to head last year by comfortable margins. Coalfield, by almost every account, has an excellent team, but it is going to be an interesting race to say the least.

Conlon was just a junior. She'll play this year. They only lost Casey Jackson. Where OS lost 4 starters.

Thanks, Paint. Still, the loss of Jackson will be felt too, won't it. One of the strongest parts of Coalfield's team last year was how well the starters meshed. So I'm just saying with a new "component" to the mix will take a while to blend. Make no mistake, Paint, I think Coalfield is a extremely dangerous team and it won't surprise me one bit if they return to M'boro.

OZ or Oneida win district everyone else is playing for third. Right now I would say.

Jackson was a great player..she was most of the Coalfield offense though..right?? They'll miss her..someone else will have to step up for them to contend.

Jackson didnt score alot but she fed the ball to those to score. As for the region picks already Wartburg deserves RESPECT. They have probley the best player in the state in Ginger Mcghee. Oneida was good but remember they stepped up in the BIGGEST Games not in the tounrys at wartburg. Also the Regions are at Wartburg and its hard to go there and play.

And your wrong about districts as well there podge, there at oakdale. I wish O.S had have had a chance to stay in AA. So wouldnt have to go to all these small morgan county gyms in the booneys...lol...

i believe your the one who's wrong.....district IS at wartburg because oakdale is too small to host it

Os will soon find out that Morgan County teams are not weak. I look for wartburg to beat OS boys and girls. sry bout the regions I meant districts. Districts are all that really matter cause Oneida didnt do well last year till the districts and neither did coalfield finishing 2. But districts change everything ask Ginger she knows.
