Livingston Academy

As everybody is saying they should have a great season. But half way through the season everything will start going down hill. The reason is everybody will start getting mad because of the lack of playing time.

 

I have a question what tournment are they playing in this year over the Christmas break?

LA plays in the East Lit Shootout against Station Camp on Tuesday Dec. 27th at 2:00. They would then play either Hume Fogg or Clarksville High on Wednesday the 28th depending on who wins first round games. The championship and consolation games are on Thursday the 29th. Everyone will play 3 games.

 

This is an all boys tournament. The other four teams are Greenbrier, South Doyle, Nashville-Hillwood, and East Lit.

Livingston Academy has a very, very talented group of young freshmen. They will be very tough this year, and as far as the players getting down about little playing time, if they're not there for the team, the team probably doesn't need them. Like I said LA will have a very good year, but this will be a building year in a way. Their best years are still to come at Livingston Academy. Once these freshmen are juniors, maybe even as sophomores, they will be extremely tough to beat. Anyways good luck to Livingston Academy and especially to Coach Richard Melton, who is going to do an awesome job this season, as well as in the future.

I know, I feel bad for the Jaycees. They had a good thing going that really helped them raise their money. If I am not mistaken, that money was used in buying Christmas presents for kids or something. Hate to hear that. Is it because it didn't make or because our teams wanted to play elsewhere? Eagle might have been fishing for someone to nibble on this topic, so I thought I would see if I was right.

Isn't it this the first time we haven't had the the Jaycees in like 50 years. Did other schools just lose interest in it other something? They seem to have went well last year.. Any one know why we are not having the tourney this year?

When is there next game? Who do they play?

The football team plays Notre Dame this friday at LA. Its been 4weeks on the road for LA and they finally gettin to come back to their home crowd.

I believe it is the state's oldest Christmas Invitational Tournament. Sure hate to hear that it will not be played after all these years.

yes this is a shame. for as long as i've known of, this has usually been a pretty successful tourney. hate to see it go this year
