OneManGang
I was really excited to see the Tennessean to finally put more effort into High School Basketball this morning when I read the paper. I have always been a little bit down about the coverage compared to how other papers across the state cover High School. As I looked at the Top 10 players I couldn't help but notice that 9 of the to 10 players in the State all played together in July with the Shelbyville AAU club. This says alot about where the best players in the state play in the summer they do a great job of promoting they kids. I hope that Heritage and Oak Ridge make it to the state tourney this year due to not having a chance to ever see Cait McMahan and KeKe Stewart play in High School. The List of the top 10 players in the state; 1. CAIT MCMAHAN - School: Heritage - AAU Club: Tennessee Flight - Height: 5-6 - Class: Senior - Position: Point guard - College: Tennessee 2. KEKE STEWART - School: Oak Ridge - AAU Club: Tennessee Flight - Height: 6-1 - Class: Senior - Position: Center - College: Middle Tennessee 3. LAKENDRA PHILLIPS - School: Ridgeway - AAU Club: TN Tigers / Tennessee Flight - Height: 5-10 - Class: Senior - Position: Guard - College: Florida 5. BIANCA THOMAS - School: Chester County - AAU Club: Tennessee Flight - Height: 5-11 - Class: Senior - Position: Guard - College: Mississippi 6. JESSICA MOONEY - School: Hillsboro - AAU Club: Tennessee Flight - Height: 5-9 - Class: Senior - Position: Guard - College: Vanderbilt 7. kingbrian3
I wonder if the three that have signed with MTSU had already committed to Shelbyville back in the summer.
postup00
These are pretty good top ten players. I saw KeKe play last year and thought she was very very good. But then I hear that she is much heavier than last year. Cait is the real thing. She will see lots of time for the Lady Vols. Insell got a steal in Brown and Pickel. Figured the gal from Shelbyville would have gone with him also. Tennesseean did a very good job ranking these players. Hope to see many of them in t he 'Boro in March. Where would Lanning be after that ten. I would put her as a top 20 anyway
