It does not sound like Bradley Central and the Bradley County School Board are ready to win at this time! Often times you will find that individuals on the various school boards will make a promise to the incoming coach and then will not follow up with that promise or commitment. Everyone needs to read between the lines on this story.

Bradley county did everything but hand over the key to the city. I dont know what everyone saw in him cause all he has done since he hit bradley county was cry and lose football games. hopefully before anyone else decides to give him a "job offer" they will look at his actions and his record for the past year. he will not be missed.

This from the Chattanooga Times Freepress.

Sounds like the job was more that he bargained for. I heard that he tried to get the board to increase the pay to his assistants. If I'm not mistaken, he got a pretty good bonus to take the job in the first place. If he wanted his assistants to have more money, he could have given them some of HIS bonus. Everyone is jumping on the board for not wanting to spend the money to have a successful football program, but did anyone stop to think that they may want to use that additional money to educate these young people?

The fact is, Mr. Allen accepted the job for a certain amount of money last year and he should do the job for that amount of money. If the board is paying him and his assistants what was agreed to, then he has no gripe. Sounds suspiciously like he is getting a better job offer somewhere and just doesn't want the hassle of rebuilding a football program. Either that, or he realized that he just can't do it at Bradley.

Either way, sounds like there isn't much love loss between any of the participants.

Or he realized the players wouldn't just float to Bradley from other places like they did at LFO.

is he goin somewhere else to coach?

Here are the facts concerning Mr. Allen!!! He knows he can't win in the league that Bradley plays in. After week 3 of the season, Mr. Allen demands full control of the football money or "I'm leaving". Mistake #1 the school system should have said see ya. But they don't, they give Mr. Allen full control of football. What this means is Coach Turner Jackson assistant A.D. was no longer in charge of Friday nights. Mr. Allen has spent nearly $55,000.00 in his booster club, the school has over $40,000.00 in bills that can't be paid. The guy in charge of football (Mr. Allen) made around $37,000.00 in gate receipts. Do the math! Mr. Allen then goes to the boosters again for more money, $500.00 for each assistant coach, remember this team went 1-9. Mr. Allen sounds alot like a former Bear Head Coach Mr. John Wild better known as Marty Wild.

Mr. Allen has blamed everyone from school adminstration, to the assistant A.D. to the boys basketball coach, the baseball coach, the track coach. The problem is Bradley officials will not let Coach Allen recruit like he did at LFO. Give him credit he had his booster club and parents snowballed for a long time. He was looking for a place to go before the season was over. Some say he went to a football game with the principal of Rhea County and a board member trying to get in over there.

If Mr. Allen is the Christian man he claims to be, then why has he started all this trouble at Bradley. So, parents, booster club members stop blaming everyone else for Coach Allen leaving. Mr. Allen needs to leave, and the sooner will be better.
