TD didnt play, but even with her in the lineup, Oakland would have had a tough time beating ezell, but no doubt would have helped. The other 10 on Oakland's roster are very capable of stepping up and holding down the fort until Tara is healthy again, but with just 1 senior and several freshmen and sophmores, your going to take your lumps

And Im sure she has a great effect on her team when shes out, but you have to understand Oakland's situation as to why Tara Davis is so important to her team. Out of 11 players, 6 of Oakland's girls are either freshmen or sophomores and Davis & McCleary are the only returning plays who had any signifcant playing time, so losing either Davis or McCleary for any length of time is magnified when you consider the rebuilding Oakland will have to go with. With that said, they'll still be competitive night in and night out and believe they will have a winning season

TD's history is that not only is she a good player but she has a way of inspiring others to new heights. I think you are underestimating her value. After watching her for a length of time, she has a way of raising the level of play of those around her. Not to make her better than she might be, her all around game and the calming effect on younger players as well as her peers has been recognized every year she has played. The way to a district championship is still thru Oakland.

The injury happened last week. Wasnt told much other than its a minor injury and that she should be back soon, praying that will be correct

My daughter, a Siegel player, is good friends with TD. She told me it is a knee. But no details as to the nature of her injury.

I have heard she has torn her ACL, My source is a reliable one, but that isnt a quick injury so maybe i heard wrong.
