Beech @ Hendersonville

Big matchup early on in the district schedule. If Hendersonville wins there would be a threeway tie for first between them, Beech, and Mt. Juliet (Don't believe they play on Tues.) If Beech is to win they would remain undefeated and in 1st place, Mt. Juliet 2nd, and Hendersonville in a tough spot with two district losses. Both teams are coming off of big away wins on Friday. What does Tues. hold in store?

You were right Ragland. Hendersonville comes out on top in a low scoring game, 42-33. Beechs 1-3-1 defense disrupted Hendersonvilles offense all game. Holding Hubert to only 8 points isnt an easy task either. Congrats to the Commandos on a well played ball game.

Ditto - However, I don't believe Beech had their complete "A" game with them last night, but not gonna take anything away from the Commandos. It was a great game to see!

Beech's 1-3-1 is very good, but HHS was very patient offensively and waited until they got an open look. Let's not overlook HHS's defense either. They played a great game only holding Beech to 33 points. Usually Beech shoots better than they did last night, but HHS seemed to contest every shot. It was a great game to see, probably the biggest crowd I've seen ever at an HHS game. And man was it loud in that gym when Hubert hit that big three. The students were going crazy. Good job Hendersonville, and keep it rolling!!!!!

    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
