TheBigRedDog
I drove by the football field yesterday and saw that it is being completely torn up with earth moving equipment. Anyone know if they're just putting in new sod or possibly FieldTurf? They put in a sprinkler system and new sod when I was there, but that's been awhile(10-12 yrs.). Do any high schools in TN have turf?
BigOwl
Field turf from what I hear. MUS is getting it and maybe CBHS.
Redtwin
I heard a rumor about Field Turf, but don't hold me to it.
TheBigRedDog
Interesting. It definitely looks like they're excavating quite a bit of dirt so as to install the layers of gravel, sand, rubber and whatever else goes beneath FieldTurf. I'm not a fan of turf. I know grass is a pain to maintain, but I prefer the natural surface. However, I've never played on a new surface like FieldTurf. Rutledge should have used the money for a JumboTron

rollredroll
I haven't driven by the campus recently (at least the football field side of campus) but am looking forward to seeing what sprouts up on the field. Looking forward to the '06 season. Once again, graduation hits big, but MBA did have a fair amount of sophomores get a lot of PT this year. MBA needs to find a new TB and some new front seven defenders, but should be pretty stout at WR (with a third year QB throwing the ball) and in spots on defense. redraider0185
i guess they had to get a new surface after the meteor hit the mba sideline in the last game when they lost to us Baylor boys.
itzme
Or some padded and heated home seats. Actually, if you guys were really gentlemen, you'd do the visiting seats first!!
silverballs
Actually, if you guys were really gentlemen, you'd do the visiting seats first!! At least MBA has visitor seats. I'm embarrased everytime we have a home game at BA and the opponents fans have to seat on our side. For a supposedly top level program, we have a po-dunk stadium. It's embarassing. BAeaglefan
I think Masters told Flatt that if they win a D-II title that they might splurge for some visitor seats and maybe a renovated home side as well. Hopefully, we can get those new seats in the next 7-10 years. At least we have the best basketball team in Davidson-Williamson County

Redtwin
I got the Alumni email today, and it mentioned that Joe Davis donated the new field.
