A new coach who has already promised a win over Meigs next season. :justwrestle: Do they not do some sort of test or screening to new coaches so that they can be sure of their mental health??? Watch out polk_wildcat, you guys are probably next.....

I would say in the 80's but I dunno. That would be somethin to look up today though. All I know is 14-1 and 9-0 in 15 years speaks for itself.

I also don't think that Meigs will be on the top. It will either be Polk or

ND. It may even come down to ND and Polk like it did last year.

Polk will have to get alot better fast if that's going to happen. They lost to Walker Valley in a scrimmage and didn't look very good.

 

Central and Tellico have new coaches. Central hired Brandon Derrick from GA, and Tellico hired CN assistant Scott Eastep. Brandon played at Central, so he's going back home. Scott used to be head coach at Grace Christian Academy i believe. Not sure if either has named coordinators yet. Polk is going back to traditional style wing-T and John Mackersie (formerly head coach at Sequatchie County) will be running the offense.

The purpose of a scrimmage is to see what you have...........all it does is see what you have to work on.

 

Trust me there was a lot of young players in for Polk..... by the fall Polk will be ready

That is very true, there were a lot of younger guys in. Also Polk was probably trying some different people than there so called "starters". I am sure Polk should be ready by fall.

Yeah, they'll probably win a lot of games on defense this fall. Also, just because they have the Wing-T doesn't mean they'll abandon their power formations, at least not after what it did for them last fall. Polk will go to the playoffs, the only question is if they'll be in Benton or Nashville the first round.
