3rd game, rubber match...competitive game or runaway?

Not to be looking ahead too much, but who says that they will even play. More than likely they will, but it's tourney time and ANYTHING can happen especially in tournament games. If I am correct, didn't Bradford play Union City pretty tough in a regular season game. I may be wrong and someone correct me if I am, but I thought I remembered someone saying that was a good game at first until UC finally went away with it! Actually I thought they said it was close for 3 quarters. I may be wrong, but I thought that is what I heard.

Let's go Lake Co fans..We have our post about Halls and shouldn't be worried about Union City or Humboldt..This post is about Union City and Humboldt...This is a neutral court for both these teams and should be a great game..Let's have a little courtesy for these two great teams,as you well know, most think we are a bunch of idiots or cocky, and predict the winner of just this one game...As we all know,we have four teams that are capable of beating anyone on a given night and any of these teams can make it to the sub-state but it won't be a cake-walk for any of us....I've thought about this game for awhile and I believe it will depend on just how hot Weddle is or if he gets in foul trouble..I believe Humboldt will maybe play a little zone or a box in one and being on a neutral floor, pound the ball inside and win in a close game...Wouldn't be surprised to even see an overtime..These two teams are very good teams....Remember..better not judge Humboldt by the last Lake Co game..We looked like that the first U.C. game and we all knew and still know we have a good team no matter what happens..The good thing is all these teams have won the games they needed so even with a loss ,any of us could come back and win the region, even if one of us placed 4th in the district tournament..

They do deserve all the respect any basketball fan can give. Both are really good teams as are the Falcons of Lake County. The 2 games scheduled for Thursday night should not be missed by basketball fans from anywhere. Anybody can win! I just hope the refs "let em play".

44..You are right...All these teams have had excellent seasons and most people seemed to think these four teams would be left standing...If Lake Co loses,at least now we have another game as do the others and can still win the region..If one of these teams has a bad game left, better to have it now......I'm expecting two great games..I have seen Hall play 5 times this year, two against us,one against U.C. and once against Humboldt..This is a good team...They had their way with Trenton and Trenton had just played U.C. tough...You're right about not missing these two great games...If the gym is not packed for these 4 teams..we must not like basketball at all..and for 3 bucks..Even if someone lives close by and don't have a team left, should come and watch these games...It should be like a high school Duke-North Carolina atmosphere..Good luck to all these teams..

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
