asian invasion, nice to see you back on here again! We miss having you out on the field this year, but I hope you will still come to a few games when you're in town. Anyways, good luck with all your teams and hopefully you'll get the chance to come visit the team sometime soon.

Their isn't much difference between D1, D2 and NAIA. Having played against teams from all three, the competition is just as solid. D1 tends to recruit bigger kids. The biggest difference I have seen is size in these 3 divisions. Someone tell me about Bolt..?

I dont think so at all, no comparison to decent d1 teams and d2/naia teams, with the exception of lindsey wilson. d1 tends to recruit the best players in the country hands down.

Sorry pal-get your facts straight-I know for a fact Trevor Adair at Clemson is still in the middle of recruiting as are all of the ACC schools because their states haven't started their seasons yet either. There has been some recruiting from the northern states who play in the fall but NO ACC SCHOOL is done with signing.

To be clear i said Maryland not ACC schools. but who are the other kids being rectrutied by ACC schools

Not true my friend. I play college soccer and played the best of each division. Rio Grande (NAIA school) from 2 or 3 years ago could have beaten Indiana, UCLA, etc HANDS DOWN. NAIA draws a lot of foreign players, and in my opinion plays prettier soccer than D1. D1 draws the guys that get the most publicity. King, my NAIA school, lost to NC State last year 3-1 after being tied 1-1 at half. They had all of their players, including their foward who was recently aquired by the LA Galaxy. The players are bigger and stronger in D1 and thats it. The best of the NAIA could compete with any D1 team. Mark my words. I have played ODP and all that garbage, and it's all political. There's no difference when you get down to it.

And you have yet to see Rio Grande play my friend. 3 years ago they had the leading scorer in THE NATION. Simon Carey was his name. He lead all divisions with 30 something odd goals I think in route to an undefeated perfect season. Messiah College, a D3 school in PA that has won back to back titles, has some guys that turned down rides to Penn St. and Indiana. It's ALL about the publicity.

I have also seen some games at various levels and MID-TOP D1 teams would beat up on teams at the other levels. NAIA allows players who have played pro to play, this is why lindsey wilson and rio are good (which im sure you know). The BEST young american players all go D1 almost exclusively and that is just fact, look at the recruiting list of the best players nationally from 2006 seniors. Hardly any players go to MLS from D2 i know that.

I don't know a ton about college soccer and stuff, but from what I've heard, lcsoccer is right. D1 does have a lot of good teams in it, but so does NAIA. It's not fair to say that D1 is better than all of the other divisions. That would be like saying that AAA is hands down the best division in high school soccer; all divisions have good teams and the division strength varies over time.
