catback
Oliver Springs wins last night 105-53, vs. Sunbright. This is not Sunbright bashing, I know the basketball team had some problems this year, but, its not often that OS hits for a Hundred. Anybody out there know anything about the Sunbright player that played quite a bit, but, didn't look like he was older than 11 years old and was about 4 foot tall, if that. Looks like somebody classlessly ran up the score. What comes around goes around.
Cookevegas3
Yeah, it had to be no class..it couldn't have been the fact that when the starters were pulled when score was in the mid 80s early in the 4th, the 2nd and 3rd team players of OS were better than Sunbright's 2nd and 3rd team. The JV of OS sent the game over triple digits.

catback
It was senior night, and the senoirs starting coming out of the game one by one EARLY in the 4th qrt, Not only that, but the reserves played during the whole game. The regular starting five didn't even start, some of them were starters, but the bench got plenty of playing time the whole game. Jesus is Lord , were you at the game?? If not, don't be so quick to judge!!!!!

crazyeyes69
os did not run up the score on sunbright, you cant tell a kid not to score on there senior night. The reason why he left those seniors in there so long is because it was SENIOR NIGHT. that is the whole point to go out on a good note. i dont think that they did anything wrong. Keep it up os
crazyguy27
It looks like the os boys basketball team took care of sunbright with little effort and it was somewhat similar to os and sunbright scrimmaging in football and os whooped up on them during the scrimmage and when a fight broke out but all i have to say is good luck to the boys in the district hope you can make it to state. I will take off from work to watch.

The player you are talking about is 8th grader Matthew Higgins, who is going to be good high school player.
dukefanatic
Congratulations on an excellent win! Looks like the guys are geared up for a run at the district. Good luck!
Faith+1
Congratulations on an excellent win! Looks like the guys are geared up for a run at the district. Good luck! Does OS student section still do the "69" chant, when they score & the number on the scoreboard is 69? Thats was so funny. The team would intentially miss foul shots just for the chant. catback
The player you are talking about is 8th grader Matthew Higgins, who is going to be good high school player. You could tell the kid had game, he didn't seem intimidated at all, he almost scored twice, missing a layup, and a foul shot, the crowd was going crazy, hoping he would score. He was just a tad bit overwhelmed at times, because of his height. But, overall, he did fairly well.
