Very interesting Bear, thanks for sharing the work. I am also interested in seeing medals by class (i.e. grade). I suspect from watching this year's action, that the current Junior class is especially strong...at least in the Southeast. If you have already captured this data in a spreadsheet, please share it. Otherwise, I'll put it together. Thanks again.

Maryville's Nick Shields placed 3rd at 125 in 05 but got injured at this years tournament, so Maryville has two returning placers.

Are there anyother schools with a similar situation?

Okay Daddy Young, in my opinion, you had the finest Frosh given the weight class. BCB was a close second. Congrats!! H-ville will have one of the finest next year.

My brother and I couldn't find you (Jakesdad) and The vol for the tag team match. :D Maybe next year.

Great job BB. One stat MANY OF YOU MAY NOT KNOW IS THE FASTEST TECH FALL. It was in the first period by a wrestler that stepped it up in state some Clue: He got 4th from region 8 :D

Bear, you are the man. Thanks for the info. I was not looking forward to putting that together. I wonder if there is any logic to support the strong Junior wrestling class. I think that spills over into D2 as well...at least in Chattanooga. Baylor and McCallie seem to have significant Junior strength. May just be coincidental. I am already looking forward to the 2008 season.

If I'm reading your heading correctly (06 medalist) - FRA had 2 (6th @ 135 and 5th @ 215) - not one. The 135 was the only returning medalist from '05
