McNairy vs. Harpeth

I hate it that McNairy loss. But, I know if you ask Coach Lott why they loss, he wouldn't say because of the refs. His answer would be, we started turning the ball over. I thought they had the game when they were up 13 midway through the 3rd. The most important thing is they are still playing and they can learn from those mistakes for the next game. Harpeth is a real good team and one of the favorites to win the gold ball along with Northside. McNairy has showed they can play with both of them and could have won both of them games. Now, all they have to do is show up and play ball and they can bring the gold ball to Selmer.

Control, control, control.....of the game or the crowd? It's a good thing no one sat in front of the guy from McNairy with the blue shirt on. He wore those bleachers out running up and down the entire game ranting and raving at the referees. I'm surprised he lasted that long......goodbye.

As far as the McNairy fan crying about the horrible calls, we all got them. The Harpeth/Chester Co. game was all for Chester. The Liberty and McNairy games were bad both ways, except the Harpeth fan was right that Harpeth got lots of bad calls in the first half. Despite the refs, Harpeth fought it's way through the tough region to prevail. Mendenhall should have been named MVP for the tourney, but a true team effort won the games. The Lady Indians showed what they are really made of. Another thread talked about Harpeth's downfall being disciplined, private schools like Ezell/FRA, but I think McNairy/Chester Co/Liberty would attest to the fact that when the chips are down, Harpeth plays like a winner.

From an unbiased fan......I thought Harpeth just turned it on in the second half and played with the intensity needed to win a regional final. I'm not saying McNairy didn't but to me it just looked like after #51 went out with 3 fouls, the game changed in Harpeth's favor. As far as officiating goes, you had 2 of the best officials around last night and 1 goober and the goober made most of the questionable calls (both ways i thought)......Games west of the river are called totally different, why? who knows, it is just a fact.

 

I think Harpeth has a legitimate shot at a state title.....

hey you want to talk your crap well here's you some to reply to. i play for the lady cats and the guy that you are talking about that got thrown out was our coach's son so he's been around the game for awhile. the officials stunk last night and we would've kicked your ###### back to your home court and we still will. you name the time and the place and our girls will be more than happy to come give you a game. harpeth had a good team but ours was even better. the officials got our momentum down because of the sorry calls. if i remember correctly harpeth couldn't do anything with the ball the first half of the game or the third quarter. the refs helped you with this one, but not again baby. you probably dont even play the sport. you're probably just a fan and that pisses me off even more. if you are so bad then get off your dead butt and go play yourself. harpeth is a good team and we all wish them the best of luck. they put out our biggest rivals. i hope if we get put out they go all the way to state and win. stop trying to start your crap and let it go. the guy that got kicked out was just mad at the officials. he's a true fan.

Coach Lott would not approve of his player talking smack on here. Let's show some class and say the better team won last night. Harpeth is a good team and played hard. They deserved to win the region championship.

 

The referees are not top quality, but they made bad calls on both teams. It was a good game to watch and it is just too bad the Lady Bobcats could not hold the lead.

Dont worry about the flipping off its not like you all didnt do it. The guy who got thrown out also resisted the cops thats why the cop pulled out the cuffs. YOUR TEAM IS MUCH BETTER THAN OURS???? Thats funny we beat yall ...We won because mendenhall got like 10 points in a row off steals at half court, and guess what their wasnt one call on those points .

 

And who started the chant about the boys,, oh thats right it was yall. And I guess WE DIDNT PACK YALLS GIRLS BAGS AND SEND YOU HOME....(Not to mention it might as well have been a home game for you all.)

 

Well how about March 1st.... oh wait we already beat you FAIR AND SQUARE...!!!

Well Harpeth is a better team than McNairy i guess there wasn't bad calls goin both ways the 1st half u guys got all the calls so dont complain but maybe u guys would have won if more than 3 ppl scored all of ur points I mean teams realize when only certain ppl score so we stopped u the refs didnt stop u the press did ur girls couldnt get the ball up the floor u guys we winning by 13 halfway through the 3rd quarter just dont choke next time and maybe u guys will have a chance in the final minutes
