Someone needs to go to "BRACKETOLOGY". That means Smyrna would be playing its 5th game or LaVergne its 6th against the loser of Mt Juliet /Beech (3rd Game). Of corse they would have to get by Gallatin who in essence benefited by losing to Smyrna in Round One. Gallatin received a bye after one win in the loser bracket. So Gallatin will be playing its 3rd game while Smyrna would be playing its 4th if it gets by Lavergne. Would make more sense if LaVergne ewas playing Gallatin. A rule of thumb in "Bracketology" is that a team does not receive a

second bye until the remaining teams have hbeen awarded a bye and 2) you do not penalize a team that won in the initial game (i.e. Smyrna).

 

Come on 9 AAA you all have a great district BUT WHO DREW UP THIS BRACKET???

 

Is it not the most insane bracket you've ever come across?????? Unbelievable.

The Bears Won tonight 1-0. With their only run coming from a solo shot by Junior Dustin Murphy which was absolutely crushed. Both pitchers pitched well tonight. Taylor Hill for MJ looked stunning on the mound throwing low 90's......Overall great game by both teams. Bears wait to see who the face in the District 9AAA Championship on Wednesday.

Smyrna won the ball game 1-0 i got there after it was over so correct me if im wrong but i heard that sonny gray lead off with a double someone moved him over then scored him for the only run for both teams the whole night.

Smyrna won 1-0. COmplete game by both Egerton of shs and Harrington of lhs. Lavergbe had bases loaded in the 1st with 1 out and grounded into a double play. SMyrna got its run in the 4th when Gray lead off with a double and ramsey hit a sac fly to get Gray to 3rd then egerton had a sac fly to score Gray. Smyrna will face Gallatin at 4 on tuesday with the winner playing Beech at 7 fir the right to go to the region. This by the way is the worst bracket i have ever seen.

MJ had bases loaded 3 different innings. This one could have been a lot more lopsided. Either poor hitting, or great pitching.....Beech's pitcher did a great job.
