khspitcher07
Who are you sports freak? I played with Mike Nipper at Central in 80-81. He was one heck of a ball player. Dont know of anyone else who came through Central that could hit it like him with the exception of Todd Helton. Halls lost tonight to karns 6-

That team with Helton, Trammell, Chris Freeman, and Pug Wood was one heck of a baseball team.

khspitcher07
That should pretty much wrap up the district regular season championship for Karns, shouldn't it? karns plays central today at karns and tomorrow at central. if karns wins one out of the two games then they have won the district. reddevil1
Don't count us out just yet. When the district starts and the bright lights get turned on, we'll be ready to kick some butt, just like the last two years. You can take that to the bank. To me he is the second best hitter to ever wear the Red and Black.
MADDOG00
I grew up with Stan. We played Little League together at Ft. City. He was a Soph when I was a senior. And you are correct, he could flat out hit it--but I think Nipper was just as good and in HS had more power. Stan is now a Federal Flight marshal. I saw him a year or two ago and he is HUGE. Not fat, about 6'-4" and around 230 or so. I only remember him mainly as a kid in high school whre he was very aaverage sized. Wish Central baseball would get back to the way it used to be!

And I am really good friends with the 3 Nipper boys. Mike has givin me hitting lessons and has helped me alot thorugh my career. My dad also played with the likes of Tim Bailey from West and Jeff Bunch from Central.
MADDOG00
Sounds like your dad is just a few years older than I. Yes, Central Baseball was great back in the day. I learned a lot from Botts over my years there. The last I heard Scott was working as a GM of some minor league team.
