im fairly sure he didnt have any fumbles, but his teammates did though.

As I said earlier this year Lohin is an outstanding player both on the gridiron and the hardwood. He will do a great job running the offense at Sycamore this season and I expect the War Eagles to be a playoff team come November IF AUSTIN STAYS HEALTHY!!!!! I don't think Austin is as good of a player as Garza was for the War Eagles but then again who was???? When healthy Lohin makes this offense (as well as the defensive secondary) much better and gives the team a better chance for success. I wish Austin the best and can't wait to see him play when Cheatham Co. makes the trip to Pleasant View in week three this upcoming fall.

dyersburg has some very talented athletes for 2006..

junior qb rashad taylor broke his own state record in a weight competition in his weight class.. during track, he was consistently in the top 2 in the 100 meter....

junior running back tyler caldwell will be well known come november in region 7AAA...as a freshmen, in two games he rushed for over 800 yards...in one game against paris grove, he scored 6 touchdowns in 2.5 quarters....he too was consistently in the top 2 in the 100 and 200 meter in track....

senior jt beasley was recently ranked 6th out of 86 linemen at the nike combine at ohio state and has been getting calls from d1 programs since his junior year........

senior linemen cody tettleton, wide receiver/free safety nick newsome and line backer quin elam are getting some looks as well...

the trainer says the offensive line averages about 265......biggest it is has been in several years......the 2006 dburg offensive unit appears to be very, very strong with speed in the backfield.......

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
