Indian
Sequatchie over Bledsoe 1-0. Only two hits by Seq, 1 in first and a late double. Late throw on a bunt single went to the outfield, Bledsoe's only error, runner to 2nd, sac bunt sent her to third then groundout for a run. Bledsoe had five hits, a few fielder's choice got runners on but Seq did a good job of getting the lead runner out. Seq got out of trouble with some outstanding individual plays by several girls. One was a run to the fence to retrieve the ball and hold a runner to a double, as a fly would have scored a runner from third right after that. Another was throwing a runner out at first from right field with a runner going from second with two outs, also infielders knocked down a couple that would have gone for hits. Seq has Hixson Monday, was told the Hixson-Grundy game was close for a while but Hixson went on to win 10-0, unofficial score.
DelTavian
Final on Hixson - Grundy was 10-0 Hixson in 6 innings. When I left Chattanooga Notre Dame was up 10-1 over CCS in 6th and East Ridge was up by the same score in the same inning over Marion. DL. Good win by Sequatchie, I was suprised we couldn't get our bats going when we had the players in scoring position....Indian,do you know who we play IF we defeat Grundy? Indian
Loser of East Ridge-Notre Dame. Very tough to fall in the losers bracket early but Bledsoe has the players who can battle out of it. Seq has had 3 straight games with no errors, allowed 2, 1 and 0 runs in those games, hope it continues. If they'd played in the field the way they have at times this season Bledsoe would have scored 5, 6 maybe more. What will Bledsoe need to do to defeat Grundy? On Offense and Defense..... I suggest checking the batting stats from tonights game. It is easy to assume performance based on memory..... Indian
Holland and Ellis had 2 hits each-those are two I'd count on to be producing. Not getting into anything else about who's not or at least didn't tonight. Bledsoe had 6 hits, not 5, looked over one in the 6th-double by Holland. Bledsoebtheboys
I hope there's some good games today....I think the East Ridge/Notre Dame game will be the best in the Winners Bracket...and I hope we can beat Grundy, but after Friday you never know....
