bballer13
I think it was just announced today that Mark Prior will be pitching in Jackson on Thursday night. So he can get hurt again...
wingman10
He's done it off and on before. I think I heard the broadcasters say yesterday was either his 40th start or appearance at first, I don't rememeber which. I vaugely remember him playing there a few times as a Cardinal. Bottom line, with AP out, the Cards have got to have his bat in the lineup. I'm sure when we play in AL parks he'll DH, but otherwise he'll be at first. They are saying AP will be out anywhere from 2-6 weeks. The big questions is will Jocketty try to get another bat in the lineup, and if so, who will he give up for him. Heard last night on KMOX....probably 4 weeks.
muffin
Reds went into St. Louis and swept the Cards, the pitching for them may be more of a problem than being on the d.l.?

jusdontno
Heard on Sportscenter this morning where Pujols should be back in the lineup Monday.... Kind of amazing he's been on DL 3 weeks and still tied for major league lead in HR and 1 back in RBI's. If Howard hadn't went nuts against Yanks a couple of days ago, he would still be leading league in both. Maybe he can pick it up where he left off and stay healthy. AND MAYBE HE CAN PITCH. And he entered the lineup tonight and went 0-4. A one hitter and got beat. A friggin one hitter by a rookie against the best team in baseball and we get beat. See you White Sox in October. wingman10
Tough loss for the Crads, but good to se Pujols in the lineup. Ist at bat, drove the ball to deep left.
Bledsoebtheboys
Seems as if Pujols might've jinxed them.....0-5 since his return....
