At one point this season they beat a ranked team, but I'm not sure if they were ever ranked??

St. Benedict as of May 18 was ranked 20th in the country.

They beat the team currently ranked #2 at the first of the season. They have a lot of team speed and a "stud" for a shortstop, but there defense was out of position a lot tonight against the Bruisers.

 

The Chattanoogan article doesn't paint the picture well enough about how good GPS's defense was tonight. Megan Wagner pitched a great game, but had ZERO K's. All 21 outs were recorded in the fielded with the GPS SS and 3B making several spectacular plays (None as good as the play the St. B SS made diving up the middle, though) St. B's ace pitcher (who can rip it at the plate) got chased in the fourth or fifth inning tonight. It set's up a possible 5 PM showdown between Baylor and St. B, loser goes to the house tomorrow.

 

GPS and Father Ryan at 7 PM. Should be a great one.
