As usual Mckenzie Rebels not getting recognition for up and coming ball players. You will just have to watch and see what will happen. Talking about pitching in the Spring Fling Drew Hayes pitched twice and came in for 1 inning against Summertown to close. Who else pitched those other games???? Folks we do have up and coming pitchers on this team. I'm sorry you haven't heard about them but then look at Forrest. They only thought Hayes could pitch in the mid 80's and only had a fast ball and a change up. Supprise, Supprise. Well once again your ignorance is going to get the best of you.

Who is going to replace the lefty who pitched them into the state and also won them the state - didn't he win 4 games in two weeks?

If I'm not mistaken, Catapano won all 6 postseason games he pitched. Two wins in D4AAA, Reg 2 semi win vs. Knox Halls, sectional win vs Kingsport Dobbyns-Bennett, State tournament wins vs. Ravenwood and Bartlett.

The Admirals really had 2 quality lefties -- the other was senior Bryan Powell.

The Admirals will have several quality pitchers next year, beginning with Matt Ramsey (Jr, RHP). The freshman LHP Cooper won a State Tournament game 5-0 vs. Collierville (6.1 IP, 2H, 0ER, 0R, 2BB, 9K). Others include RHP and 1B Thoreson, RHP Glarrow, RHP Newby, RHP & 3B Stallings. I'm sure I've missed others, but I'm sure Coach Pharr will develop more that will step in and do well.

Blackman lost only 4 Seniors..their other catcher Freeman is better than Prater anyways..we didn't lose much..We did fine without Davenport most over the year..Uhles wasn't very great anyways..Seagrote (SP?) will be missed however

A bunch of talented freshman(upcoming sophomores)pitchers coming up though..should have a very talented and experienced team

Before we go ahead and crown Farragut 2007 champs let's not forget the upcoming senior class at SD and the fact that Bearden has the entire pitching staff back that beat Farragut four times (yes I said four) this year.

There is no question that South-Doyle will be tough to beat in 2007. Bearden lost six very good experienced hitters out of their line-up and will be hard pressed to replace them. Farragut will have to count on new players stepping up to replace Catapano, Eskew, Nelson, Reynolds, Cheek, & B. Powell. I believe several of the Admirals young guns will step up when given the opportunity. District 4AAA should continue to be very competitive.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
