We love you Coach Akins

Coach Akins is one of my most respected men in my book. He is a great football coach but most importantly a great man. It was an honor to play for coach Akins and to win a state championship with him, and get 2 runner-up finishes with him, and win all those region championships. He brought the school up from nothing, everyone he coached he made a champion out of them. Where ever he goes he will do a great job and have lots of success because he's just that type of man and coach, I love him like a father and alot of my former teammates will say the same. I wish him the best of luck and i will support him wherever he goes. He has made me into a man and the most i could ever learn in life was from him and Boyd-Buchanan football!! Friday nights were surely special with you. Good Luck coach i love you.

no he's from mississippi, but he coached and won a state title in alabama before he came to boyd.

StanTrott, you need to have all of your facts in order before you come on some message board and try to make jokes about a coach's life and situation. If this was a college or professional coach it would be one thing but he's a high school coach who's very important to a lot of people. I think you need to keep your comments to yourself about this.

The man has done a great deal for a lot of young people and to get on here and make this type of remark is uncalled for. I usually enjoy what you put on this board but this is out of line.

 

All people, including yourself Mr. Trott, have made mistakes in their life. Let the family handle the problems and all of us on these message boards should respect them enough to keep our little comments to ourselves.

 

Wonder if we could dig some your "skeltons" out of the closet and post them on here?

Thanks Bill. You worded what I was trying to say much better. As for everyone else just wait until the truth becomes available. There are a lot of unsubstaniated rumors afloat that shouldn't be bantered about on here. Coach Akins has earned more respect than Trott showed him.
